Goals 👏🏼

-SYMMETRY AT SUNRISE-
Here’s another photo I captured during yesterday’s incredible sunrise over Lake Winnisquam in Tilton, New Hampshire! After photographing the dock and Adirondack chairs on the right side of this boathouse, I decided to try a completely different perspective and capture the scene from the inside. I placed my tripod right in the water, positioning my camera just about two inches above the surface to get an extremely low angle and capture as much of that brilliant morning sky as possible. I absolutely love the symmetry of this composition, especially with the boathouse framing the scene and those Adirondack chairs still visible on the right side.

Rainy Camping Days in Glacier National Park 🌧️🌲

The goal of this trip was to catch the presides meteor shower while camping in the park, but the weather decided otherwise 🥲 Glacier is such a beautiful place even when it’s moody - enjoy. All shots are taken in the Many Glacier area of the park.

Driving through the desert 🌵🚙

Mostly taken in Monument Valley area and Valley of the Gods a couple months ago, this was some of my favorite driving on the whole trip. Even if it feels like driving through a toaster 🔥The sky contrasted with all that orange was awesome to see. Enjoy!

Golden summer from above in Havre, Montana 💛🧡

Havre is clearly in a dry-spell these days, but this set from June is one I meant to share sooner as a reminder of how beautiful and colorful this place can get in the summertime. This level of green and golden doesn’t exist everywhere. Enjoy ☺️

One thing I don't share much about on here (unintentionally) is other work I do outside of landscape photography. Some of that work includes event photography, and one of my favorite musical events to cover in Havre, Montana each summer is an acoustic concert series hosted by Spruce & Steel Music, called Backyard Storytellers. It's a wonderful series that invites different artists each session to perform whatever acoustic songs they want and share stories behind the music throughout the night.

This set includes photos/video from the last performer, Andy Dunnigan, and some coverage from the season opener, Cara Shulz. Enjoy!

Also, below is some info from the last artist, Andy Dunnigan, and info about the upcoming shows of the season - you don't want to miss these!

"Neighbors gathered on the evening of July 16th for the second session of the third season of Backyard Storytellers, an Acoustic Summer Concert Series presented by Spruce & Steel Music in Havre, Montana. From his spot on the custom woodwork flanked corner stage, Singer-Songwriter Andy Dunnigan regaled attendees with stories of time on the road between original compositions. Andy’s quick picking on the guitar and dobro accompanied hand crafted vocals that carried listeners across time and space. Mini charcuterie boxes from Wild Fig and bar service by Vic’s Place provided creature comforts while eclectic stage lighting, torches, and a welcoming fire pit flickered throughout the evening. Two concerts remain in the series, Martha Scanlan on August 6th and Jackson Holte on September 24th. This unique entertainment offering comes highly recommended for those wishing to unplug and enjoy an intimate concert experience here in Havre - tickets can be ordered online in advance at www.backyardstorytellers.simpletix.com or at the door."

Eerie sun & moon during fire season 🌖☀️

Not necessarily a great thing to be seeing with fire season in full effect, but the intense orange hues are wild to see like this. I took this at home in Havre, Montana a couple days ago. Stay safe out there 🔥
