When I first picked up a camera, I thought photography was all about learning the technical side. The right camera. The right lens. The right settings.
And while those things matter, they’re only a small part of becoming a photographer.
The biggest shift happened when I stopped looking at my camera and started looking at the world differently.
I started noticing how light fell through a window. The tiny interactions between people. The details that complete a story. The ordinary moments that become extraordinary when you learn to see them.
That’s something no camera can teach you.
It’s a skill you develop through practice, curiosity, and learning to slow down.
If you’re a photographer, what’s one thing you see differently now than when you first started?
Or tell me, what’s the biggest thing you’re struggling with right now? I’d love to help. 🫶🏻
