Have you ever seen a photo that you thought had to be a painting just by looking at it? I look at this shot I took and I swear I think it’s actually a painting. It’s so vibrant and unreal looking.

Fun Fact: the place I’m standing in this picture is normally about 5ft underwater, back when Tropical Storm Fred came through the storm damaged the dam at Price Lake and caused the entire lake to drain almost completely. It’s slowly filling back up though.

It’s !!
Photography is my way to express myself, it’s explosive, colorful, and one of the best ways to tell a story. I am always trying to push myself to make the best images possible, photography pushes me to be a better artist. While some people may say that photography is becoming less important in todays world (looking at you ) but I highly disagree. A well made photo can capture a moment in a more timeless way than video ever could. The world can try to push video, but video is always going to be right there picking up where video can’t compete.

Life is good
I love life in these mountains. I feel at home among these beautiful landscapes. It’s as if I could stare at this view for hours and just feel a contentment that I never would have expected. As a photographer I hope that one my work capturing these mountains can help others want to preserve these views forever. We only have one Earth, once it’s gone it’s gone forever.

Pretty bird wanted it’s picture taken.
This is a Victoria Crowned Pigeon. a mostly ground dwelling bird native to Papua New Guinea. For as long as I can remember this species has been one of my all time favorite birds and was a staple of my visits to the North Carolina Zoo. Now that I’ve picked up photography I think this bird means more too me as it’s one of the best wildlife shots I’ve ever captured in my opinion and I know that as I continue to grow my skills I will be able to get better and better pictures of beautiful creatures like this one.
