Yesterday was so special for so many reasons. We celebrated the beautiful union of two families, and I had the honor of documenting all of the love, laughter, and little moments in between. 🫶🏼

But yesterday also felt a little different for me.
It was the second-to-last wedding I have on my books… for good. After next weekend, I officially have no more weddings booked.

And wow. That feels strange to say.

I’m emotional. I’m happy. I’m nervous. I’m a little sad. But more than anything, I feel confident and at peace with my decision to step away from the wedding scene and pour more of my time and heart into the families, newborn babes, and everyday stories that have become such a huge part of why I love what I do. 🤍

Weddings have been such a special chapter of my career. Being trusted to document one of the biggest days of someone’s life, the quiet moments, the happy tears, the tiny details, and everything in between is something I will never take for granted.

For now, though, I’m ready for a new season.

I’m excited to have some of my weekends back 😂 IYKYK.
I’m excited to pour more into The Olive Branch Studio
I’m excited to have more space for my families and newborns.
And I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes me. 🤗

I’ll still be popping into the wedding world here and there as an associate photographer for some incredibly talented friends, so I’m not disappearing completely. And I’ll never say never because who knows what the future holds.

But as of right now, I have one wedding left in this chapter of my own business. Wedding photography, you’ve been so good to me. 🤍

Every newborn session looks a little different. We may have a baby who sleeps through the entire session, one who doesn’t want to miss a second of the excitement, or one who lets everyone know exactly how they feel. 😂 And that’s perfectly okay.

The Olive Branch Studio was created to be a calm, cozy, and welcoming space where families can slow down and simply soak in these moments. Newborn days pass in the blink of an eye, and before you know it, the tiny details that feel so familiar today begin to fade.

My heart behind every session is to preserve those little moments no matter what they look like, so you’ll always have something to hold onto long after this season has passed.

Because these memories deserve to last forever, even when this stage doesn’t. ✨
