Since 2017, I’ve captured Jess and her family’s beautiful journey. As my longest-standing client, Jess always snags the first fall session slot the moment my calendar opens! She wanted to wait until her kids were old enough to enjoy the dry lake bed before we tried that location and last year was the moment! The laughter was endless, with the sky painting a stunning purple and pink sunset to top it all off. Scroll to the end to see their awesome Blazer in action, with the boys and dad kicking up dust for a super fun spin! They hold a special place in my heart. Excited for what we’ll create this year! Thank you for all your support over the years 🍂📸

Capturing Olivia and her beautiful family is always a pleasure! We go way back to when our oldest were tiny tots, and it’s a fun fact that her daughter shares my birthday and my childhood love for the violin 🎻 Snapping these moments while catching up on life, work, and family is what makes these sessions with old friends extra special for me 🧡

💌Plus - The 2025 Fall Family Session email was sent yesterday! Subscribers, check your inbox for all the details and how to book your spot. Cant wait to capture cozy fall vibes and catch up with some of you soon! ☀️

Spring Mountain Ranch, just outside Las Vegas, is a GORGEOUS spot for family photos! 📸 The backdrop is stunning, but keep in mind that there’s a $50/hr permit fee + parking. Totally worth it if it’s available for your session though! One thing to note, it’s a lot of unpaved walking and can get CHILLY. Last year, this family’s session was hit with very cold, windy weather. The city was fine, but up there? Brr we were freezing! The kids even fell asleep on the drive, so mom and dad had to rally them fast in the frosty air. 😄
Little bro was NOT feeling it most of the time, but we managed some giggles, and dad totally brought those moments to life. 🥰 The playtime at the end brought out lots of laughs plus warmed us all up!
I know coordinating with little ones can feel chaotic (it totally is!), but trust me…even if things go sideways, we’ll have fun, explore, and capture every smirk, laugh, and mood your kiddos bring. You’ll love all the real-life moments we capture 💖

Midway through this sweet families maternity session I featured yesterday, their hilarious friend (in town for the weekend) added an unexpected twist. The best part? Little Hazel and the sneaky friend both hit me with the same goofy tongue out pose at the same time! Pure laughter. A first surprise maternity for me, and they’ve got these joyful moments captured forever.

Elle’s Birth Story: Final Chapter

Once Elle’s cord was cut by her daddy, midwife Barbara conducted the newborn exam. Elle was weighed (a moment I always cherish at home births for its charm). Big sister Maya watched the exam with awe, eagerly waiting to hold her new sister.

Once Jasmine returned from a quick bathroom trip, Maya got her chance to hold Elle for the first time, and it was absolutely heartwarming. She was a natural. Capturing the curiosity and excitement of siblings is one of my favorite moments to preserve.

Soon after, we shared final hugs and goodbyes, wishing the family restful sleep, nourishment and relaxation.

Leaving a birth always fills me with an incredible high. I hope my love for documenting birth stories shines through in these photos.

Thank you to this special family for allowing me to share Elle’s Birth Story. You guys are amazing, I love documenting your growing fam ❤️

Part TWO of Elle’s BirthStory ❤️ With her midwives support, Jasmine settled into her bed. Nestled against her mother’s chest, Elle rested happily, now in her mama’s arms instead of inside her. The midwives conducted further checks, gently tilting Elle’s head downward to clear any remaining fluid from her lungs. Soon after, Regina, the doula, brought Jasmine some watermelon to eat.

As they relaxed, they learned that Grandma had arrived with big sister Maya. They met the baby and checked on Jasmine.

Maya was curious and confused a little at first, but very quickly came around and was excited to see her mama and new baby sister and snuggle up with them.

After Jasmine delivered her placenta, the midwives discovered a true knot in the cord. Barbara, one of the midwives, showed the family this remarkable feature, allowing them to examine and touch it. Tomorrow, we’ll conclude Jasmine’s birth story, covering Elle’s first exam with Maya by her side, her weigh-in, and the rest of their golden hour bliss.

BIRTH STORY TIME 💕I have previously documented a Mother’s Day birth, and now I’m honored to add this beautiful Father’s Day birth to my experiences. Jasmine had been in early labor for over a day at this point, feeling increasingly tired. I stayed in touch with her wonderful doula, Regina, who visited Jasmine around 10 a.m. on Sunday to help progress labor. After a smoothie and Regina’s skilled support, Jasmine’s contractions intensified rapidly.

By 1:30 p.m., Regina signaled it was time for me to join them. I arrived to find Jasmine laboring on the toilet, supported by her husband and guided by Regina’s calm coaching.

Within 30 minutes, Regina contacted the midwife team again who arrived promptly. Though Jasmine had prepared a bathtub, she chose to get off the toilet and labor on all fours. Soon after her next contraction, the baby’s head crowned, and with a few more pushes, their daughter was born into her Fathers hands (on Father’s Day).

Baby had some fluid in her lungs, which was addressed calmly by lowering her head and providing a bit of oxygen. With no panic, just steady supported care, Jasmine and her baby moved to the bed for their first moments together.

Part TWO coming tomorrow!
