Mini sessions feel like doing something. Most of the time they’re actually a symptom.

They’re the move you make when the calendar’s slow and you need cash fast, not when you have an actual marketing system moving people toward booking. It’s a panic move dressed up as a strategy.

I did the same thing for years. Discount days. Flash sales. Anything to fill a gap instead of fixing why the gap existed in the first place.

I didn’t build my photography business into multi-six figures by getting better at mini sessions. I built a marketing machine, visibility, connection, and a launch system that creates demand on purpose. Now I teach that same system so other photographers can build theirs too.

Absolutely. I’d make the caption hit the **“I need to be ready before I invest”** belief harder, because Laura is basically living proof of the opposite.

The photographers who think they need to “get their s**t together” before they invest in their business are usually waiting for the investment to produce the very thing they think they need first.

More money.
More bookings.
More confidence.
More momentum.
A better plan.

Laura Stansberry didn’t have any of those things.

In 2024, her business was **-$30,000.**
