This graduation shoot is extra special because while I was growing up with her cousin Sierra Juarez, I also got to watch Jadyn grow up too. It is a privilege to get to see her find so much joy and happiness and get to see her overflow with her passion for theater and music. At the beginning of September, William reached out to shoot a branding session for his therapy practice, Roots Therapy. We ended up shooting at one of my favorite parks five days before Helene devastated WNC. A park that is now closed and I have no idea when it’ll open again.
My heart has been so heavy seeing all the destruction Helene caused. People’s livelihoods disrupted or destroyed. Their homes. Their family members. So many have lost so much.
I’ve also seen so much community these past couple weeks. I’ve seen so much love from within and so much love pour in from all around us. I’m so grateful to know all of you and I’m grateful to be here. I’m grateful to have loved ones, to have somewhere to live, to have water, to have electricity, to have food.
I appreciate everyone who reached out and checked on me💗
I love yall so much ❣️

Thank you William for being a light of a human and being so wonderful to work with💚🌿
