5 years ago when my son was a rising senior, I felt like I was going into senior year blindfolded. Luckily had some mom friends who had been through it, and I relied on them to give me the heads up on everything to expect during the whirlwind known as senior year.

You know when plans just fall into place and it’s chef’s kiss? That was totally the case with Maddie’s mountain adventure.
She shared with me that the mountains were here happy place so it was just so fitting to travel to the blue ridge for her senior session.
And the flowers? Wow. Just wow. They were putting on a show!
Would I go back here? In a heartbeat. Give me a 75 degree day anytime over these melting temps!

Armed with nothing more than a reflector and an instructor with an eye for chasing the perfect light (T A R A R O C H E L L E) we happened upon this unassuming house that most people may just drive by on any ordinary occasion.
But through a photographer’s lens, the golden light and color harmony made it the perfect backdrop for Avery Bassett and her retro styling.
These warm vines are giving me all the fall feels and I’m so ready for cooler temps and the class of 2027! Who’s with me? 😉

I spent the last few days at a conference stretching my skills and getting a little out of my comfort zone with lighting techniques and editorial posing. I even used a lens the whole time that I only bring out on occasion. 😳
While I know this is all gibberish for most, what it means for my clients is that I’m doing my best to bring them THE best imagery and experience.
2027 seniors… ooohhhh… just you wait!
