The day after I photographed Baby R's birth story, I came back to the hospital to take more photos of him with his family.

Early on Tuesday morning, I joined my friend, Allison, and her husband, Rodney, in welcoming their fourth baby into the world! Baby R's parents are both athletes, and he already began training for his triathlon career in the womb over the past few months. So, when we interrupted his morning swim, he really did not want to come out! His little legs were so strong and he was kicking as hard as he could to keep the doctors from cutting the cord! Sorry, R! You had to come out of there sooner or later, little dude!

We have an exciting announcement!!
Even though it is already Week 8 of 2013, and these things are normally begun the first week of January, we are going to start a Project 52. For the next 52 weeks, we will give you a theme to shoot to and a forum to share your images and experiences. This is not only for professional photographers- anyone who wishes to participate in the journey and share their images is welcome to join us! Each week's theme will be an inspirational quote, and your mission will be to interpret that quote into an image. The only rule is that the image you share must be newly created after the quote is announced, with the goal being to spend a little time once a week shooting for yourself- not for a client, not for money. Just for YOU! Submit one final weekly image to us with your description of what the quote means to you, by Sunday evening. Each Monday we will share our own image for the week, share a few of our favorites from the group, and announce the new quote of the week. Look for a blog post shortly with more details, and instructions on how to share your images!

So, without further ado, here is this week's quote:
