Got a pretty new loveseat and finally get to use it with some greenery for a photoshoot today!! So thankful to clients who let me do this dream job of mine in this pretty little studio. ❤️

Spent the morning at a fundraising event at Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop today, for this sweet little girl... Ms. Paisley.

Paisley went from a healthy girl with a tummy ache a few months ago to Stage 4 cancer battling warrior princess today... I am inspired by you.

Her Mama is a single Mom, who worked for the school district, but has had to stop so she could care for Paisley during her numerous hospital stays and treatments. Paisley's Mama was originally trying to hold a lemonade stand (in the 105+ heat) to raise money to support themselves, when the community stepped in. I am inspired by you.

Amy, the owner of Buttermilk Sky, is a mother and business owner, juggling college tours with her own child, labor shortages, and running a business. She was up late last night printing labels, baking pies, bouncing ideas around, and getting the nitty gritty done to make today a success. I am inspired by you.

So, the point of this post is three-fold.
1. Cheering on sweet warrior princess Paisley and sharing her fundraising information.
2. A reminder to hug your loves tightly, even on days that they are annoying the heck out of you.
3. A shout out to the Mamas, the small business owners, the volunteers, the fighters, the advocates, the animal rescuers, the donors, the pro bonos, the adopters, the protectors, and all of the other amazing people who make this world a more beautiful place.

Thanks, beautiful Paisley, for bringing a few of these people out of the woodwork today so I could be lucky enough to meet them AND to meet you. ❤️

A little photoshopper humor... My sweet client said that her headshot needed to match the headshot of the VP of the company (shown here), only she wanted hers to be smiling. I couldn't help myself but to photoshop a smile onto his mug for some humor while I was at it.

Y'ALL!!! Check out this Fort Gordon WWI custom photo restoration I had the honor of completing for the grandson of one of the men in the photo. It was cracking terribly and almost 4 feet long, so it had to be gently scanned in small sections, digitally stitched back together in photoshop, then meticulously hand painted to bring back as much detail as possible (and to even out the faded colors). Sooooo excited to have helped restore this family heirloom and piece of military history.

FB won't let me post a 3.5' long 'AFTER' panorama, so had to attach it in sections. 😑

My clients have the coolest jobs. This is Tony and he works for an electric vehicle startup and needed new headshots for his new position as Director of Service. Fun fact... a long time ago, he was the voiceover guy for Bertolli frozen pasta! He had me dying laughing when he put on his "tv commercial" voice and recited me every line from the commercial.

The traditional advice is that a dark background, dark top and dark hair will give a subject a "floating head" effect and should be avoided. I think we pulled it off wonderfully with some subtle navy blue lighting to separate this beauty from the backdrop. Crossed arms 'power pose' was just the icing on the cake! :)
