I've been so inspired by my 2 sweet children...wanting to capture each unique moment so I would never forget. I already see how fast time passes us by and how important these pictures will be to me years from now. I love photographing children and families and catching that mischievous look in their eye, the big grinned smile, the pouty face, the tear rolling down their face, the uncontrollable laughter, and that coy look peering up at me. I hope you will let me capture all those exquisite moments for you too!

Hi, I'm Shannon! If you're new around here, here's a little about me and what I do.
I photograph maternity, newborns, and families, both in my gorgeous bright white Centennial studio and outdoors around Denver, chasing natural light and golden hour wherever it takes us.

I'm also a mom of three, so I know exactly how chaotic getting everyone dressed and out the door feels. I'm an Enneagram 9 (a peacemaker by nature), and a firm believer that family photos shouldn't feel like one more thing to stress about. We'll keep things relaxed, skip the stiff poses, and leave room for your kids to be kids. After all, the photos you'll love most are usually the moments you couldn't have planned anyway. And if choosing outfits feels like the hardest part, I have an extensive client wardrobe for the whole family that's included in all sessions — one less thing to buy or stress over.

I've been doing this for 15 years, and I still get ridiculously excited when I catch that moment. You know the one. The laugh, the little in-between glance, the split second that makes you feel everything all over again.

A few things about me outside of photography: I'm a millennial at heart (please just text me), my coffee order is a full sentence, I plan family trips around points and miles, and my feisty Cavalier is pretty convinced he's the one in charge around here. I'm always on the hunt for a new photo spot — a new park, a new trail, a new patch of evening light. If you need me, I'll be over here dreaming about ice cream — Jeni's jelly donut is my fave flavor.
