Had the absolute honor of capturing my best friend Carissa’s engagement 🥹💍 Her fiancé Brandon spent months planning the most perfect proposal at Swan Island Dahlias and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful September day!

Shout out to the two random girls from Hood River who took me in as part of their friend group so I could blend in waiting for the big moment 😅

Today we’re heading out to take their formal engagement photos, and I’m so excited to celebrate this next chapter with them! 🌸✨

This session takes me back to the height of the summer garden...all color and warmth and beauty. Photography as a business has taken a backseat for a while, though I’ve never really stopped shooting. A few things are on the horizon again, and it feels good to be returning in ways that still fit with the rhythm of home and family.

The best and worst part of parenthood? Watching your kids grow up.

One minute they’re toddling around in muddy boots, reaching for your hand… and the next, they’re off doing big things, needing you a little less every day. It’s beautiful and bittersweet all at once.

So here’s to soaking up the little moments: the messy hugs, the bedtime stories, the driveway chalk masterpieces, because these days don’t last forever, but the love sure does. 💛

This session was everything I love about photographing childhood—bare feet, belly laughs, wild hair, and wide open spaces. They played, explored, tumbled, and told me stories.

Childhood isn’t posed—it’s play. And when I step behind the camera, my goal is to preserve that wonder just as it is.

Also-How cute are my neices and nephews?!
