There are some photo shoots that are just a little extra special. 🤍

We created this sweet new setup especially for our granddaughter, tucked into one of the most perfect little spots on the farm for golden hour. 🌿🌸 And seeing her sitting there in something we dreamed up and created made it even more magical.

🌸 A sad little day here at the farm… 🌸

Our zinnias have officially made it past their prime, and today it was time to start cutting them back to make way for the beauty coming in our new rows.

But y’all… even knowing it was time, cutting down plants that still had THOUSANDS of blooms on them was HARD. 😭🌸

We are so incredibly grateful for every photographer who came out and captured beautiful memories among these flowers this season. Seeing your finished images made every seed planted, every w**d pulled, every flower deadheaded, and every hot day working in those rows completely worth it. ❤️

Thankfully, this isn’t goodbye to the flowers! Our new rows are coming along, and there are MANY more blooms—and beautiful photo opportunities—still to come this fall. 🌼🌸

So today we’re saying a bittersweet goodbye to one beautiful chapter while getting ready for the next one.

And just like that… YEAR FOUR begins! 🍂🌼 sneak peak of newest flowers and start of Christmas setups up

We’ve spent the last several days looking back at where Almosta Farm & Depot started and just how much has changed in three years.

But around here, we don’t sit still for very long. 😂

While we were busy reminiscing, fall has been quietly arriving at the farm!

Those thousands and thousands of seeds we planted are beginning to bloom, fall setups are being prepared, Christmas setups are already in the works, and we have plenty of new ideas rolling around in our heads.

So now that we’ve shown you where we’ve BEEN…

It’s time to show you where we’re going. ❤️

🎉 TODAY WE CELEBRATE 3 YEARS OF ALMOSTA FARM & DEPOT! 🎉

For the past several days, we’ve been sharing the “before and afters”… but today, on our actual anniversary, we can’t help but stop and look at the whole picture. ❤️

Three years ago, we stood on this property with a whole lot of ideas, a whole lot of excitement, and absolutely no idea just how much this place would grow.

What started as open fields and a vision has become flower fields filled with zinnias and cosmos, our archway field full of unique backdrops, the greenhouse, the occasion wall, eucalyptus, our whispering meadow, Christmas setups, vintage doors, swings, arbors…and so many little corners that didn’t even exist in our original plans.

Some ideas worked beautifully.

Some absolutely did NOT. 😂

We like to call those our “fail forward” opportunities — and believe us, there have been plenty!

We’ve planted, built, painted, moved things, replanted, rebuilt, changed our minds, tried again…and somehow three years later, we’re still dreaming up what we can do next.

But the most special part of these three years isn’t something you can see in a before-and-after photo.

It’s YOU.

Every photographer who trusted our little farm with their vision. Every family, senior, couple and client who made memories here. Every person who followed our page, shared a post, recommended us, encouraged us or simply cheered us on.

You helped turn our crazy little dream into Almosta Farm & Depot.

We are beyond grateful.

And after looking back at everything that has changed in just three years, there’s one thing we know for sure…

We’re nowhere near finished. ❤️

Here’s to Year FOUR and whatever crazy ideas we come up with next! 😂🌸📸

🎄 3 Years of Christmas at Almosta Farm & Depot 🎄

Continuing our anniversary walk down memory lane… today we’re looking at Christmas Through the Years! ❤️

Our first year, Christmas was simple — a couch and a Christmas tree sitting in what was basically an empty field. 😂 We had a vision… we just had a whole lot of empty space to fill!

By year two, things were starting to come together. Our arches were decorated, the couch and tree had a beautiful setting, and we added that gorgeous curated Christmas mantle. Little by little, the vision in our heads was becoming something real.

And then came year three… 🎄✨

Christmas seemed to take over the farm! Full Christmas setups throughout the property, multiple places for photographers to create completely different looks, and even Christmas inside the greenhouse.

Looking back at these photos side by side makes us realize just how much can change in three short years. 3 Years of Almosta Farm & Depot — Greenhouse + Occasion Wall 🌿

Another day of looking back at just how much can change in three years! ❤️

Our greenhouse and occasion wall are two perfect examples of how we’re always dreaming, building, changing things up…and sometimes learning to fail forward along the way. 😂

The greenhouse started as an idea, became a beautiful enclosed space filled with seasonal setups, and then Mother Nature decided she had her own remodeling plans this past winter. 😳 The panels may be gone, but the frame — and our plans for it — are still standing! We can’t wait to see what its next chapter becomes.

And then there’s our Occasion Wall — created to give photographers another fun, ever-changing spot for birthdays, milestones, holidays and all those special little moments worth remembering. 📸

When we look at the before pictures compared to today, it reminds us that Almosta Farm has never really been “finished.” And honestly…we don’t think it ever will be. There’s always another idea brewing around here! 😂❤️

2 more days until our 3-year anniversary! 🎉
