Photographer Demian Barrios, or db, had his first camera at the age of 7. In the film era, correct pictures where about exposure, lighting, composition and knowing to be in the right place at the right time. With his own constant drive for the perfect shot, his nature photography started his quest as a photographer. Eventually his enthusiasm led to shooting people as well. Demian has spent years p

erfecting the skill of manual photography, and was previously employed by Kodak at The Hilton due to his admirable and professional skills on the camera as well as with subjects. Thousands of amazing candid photos prove a good time has been captured on film. Many of his travel pictures have been featured in Tourism pamphlets, used for product model promotion, appeared on the cover of Homes Magazine (Aug 2007) as well as published in photojournalism articles (Point of Begining Mag 2008), appeared on KHON NEWS, and used as stock photography in promotion material, and continue to be in the community via sport photography, photographic services, and many upcoming slide show events. db Photo will also shortly be releasing prints of his work. With a unique eye, most of Demians people and wedding photography offers stylish professional and amazing if not stunning results. "Playing with light" is one of his specialties. Through his many travels to photo destinations like Machu Picchu, Tikal, Copan, Hawaii, Demians photojournalism has inspired him to continue his archive print collection (to be released in galleries soon), as well as continuing to offer his services for any photo need. Just doodled this last night. Sometimes you just have a feeling about things and low and behold…. They happen. Sometimes my intuition scares me, other times it comforts me, but I always trust it to lead the way. It’s saved my life multiple times and put me where I need to be. Powerful. Humbling. The universe works in magical ways…. Trust the process… we are all here for a reason… embrace that feeling and it will guide you. Pele and I have always had a close relationship. Serendipitous perhaps. Giving thanks for all the power and creation she brings. Cheers to a prosperous new year for everyone !
Let us all elevate our frequency and connect to the inner voice.. she doesn’t talk with words but if you watch and listen long enough, you will start to understand. Sacred. Blissful. Powerful. Humbling.

Little peekaboo of the views we’ve been getting on the island lately with Mauna Loa erupting. It’s been amazing to see how it has brought the community together as everybody is taking time in their routine to go out and smell the flowers or in this case see the lava. I’ve just been overwhelmed and oversaturated with so much lava but still trying to keep balance in the professional home and personal life, so it’s been slow posting for me in social media world. Fully present enjoying all of these moments can’t wait to start processing and sharing some of my images from the last couple days. What a rush! Off to be a dad now, then see you later !
