So I think I have finished this little project from my Hilton Head vacation bonus imaging time. I shot my flats when we got home, and was able to fully calibrate my IC1396 (aka Elephant Trunk Nebula). So I reprocessed everything, and turned out nicely for the sky and time!

Weather and work has been making it tough to enjoy the skies this summer, but finally some vacation time in Hilton Head and the last two nights have broken the imaging drought! Here is 46x300 subs taken with a PlayerOne Poseidon C Pro with Optolong QEF filter through a Askar FMA 180. Very small and portable rig carried by a ZWO AM3 mount. No calibration frames yet, processed with PixInsight.

Not had much opportunity for imaging of late, but finally skies and time allowed me to grab an hour on the Trifid and Lagoon Nebulae. Captured with Seestar S30 using its built in LPF, 60x60 sec subs, processed with PixInsight. Keep looking up!

I love the Cygnus area, especially around the North American and Pelican Nebulae. Clouds of hydrogen illuminated by the ionizing radiation of nearby stars, space dirt everywhere, and too many stars to count! Taken at CSP2025 with FMA180Pro and Poseidon C Pro.
