After finishing her Masters degree, Alyssa taught photography and the fine arts for several years. Her extensive background in the fine arts allows her a comprehensive artistic vision capturing the distinctive images of children and emphasizing their natural expressions and inner beauty. Alyssa Fortin Photography is based in Hingham, Massachusetts. Alyssa works throughout the South Shore area of B

oston, and Cape Cod, specializing in natural light, film photography with a focus on newborns, babies and children. Alyssa is inspired by the magic of the darkroom, and produces luminous black and white silver gelatin prints which suit perfectly her natural, unmediated images. She is known for her honest and respectful approach to portraiture. There is magic in childhood and this is what Alyssa longs to capture most - to record and save this magic as precious memories on film.

I’m so excited to announce my next art opening at Hostetler Gallery in Nantucket!

Please join me this Thursday from 5:00–7:00 PM for an evening celebrating art, conversation, and an extraordinary collaboration across mediums.

I’m deeply honored to be exhibiting alongside the sculptures of David Hostetler during the year of what would have been his 100th birthday. Seeing his timeless sculptures interact with my underwater fine art photography creates a beautiful dialogue that I can’t wait to share with you.

I’m so excited to announce my upcoming solo exhibition at Azula Vela Galería in Huacas, Guanacaste, Costa Rica!

A favorite memory from last fall’s pop-up art and shopping event.

Pictured here with my friend Ginny Brewer, owner of Las Catalinas Collection. I had purchased this beautiful dress from her store, and for the opening we decided it would be fun to both wear it. There’s something special about celebrating art, fashion, and friendship all in one afternoon.

I’m so grateful to Ginny for opening her doors to me and welcoming my artwork into her gorgeous boutique. Her support, encouragement, and belief in my work have meant so much. If you find yourself in Las Catalinas, be sure to stop by and experience the beautiful collection she has curated.

I am so excited to announce that my artwork is now on display at Azula Vela in Huacas, Costa Rica!

This stunning new gallery has an incredible urban vibe and features a curated collection of artists from around the world, including Germany, Spain, Switzerland, the United States, and beyond. I am truly honored to be included among such talented international artists.

Azula Vela is much more than a gallery. The space will also feature a French wine bar, tapas, brick oven pizza, and a beautiful collection of one-of-a-kind fashion pieces. Even better, curated wine boxes will be available for delivery, bringing a taste of the gallery experience home.

This photo was taken during last week’s soft opening, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of this creative new destination in Costa Rica.

Thursday night was the soft opening of Azula Vela Fine Art, a stunning new gallery space in Haucas, Costa Rica — and it is absolutely breathtaking.

The architecture and urban design of the space are gorgeous, the international art collection is top notch, and the entire concept feels fresh, elevated, and inspiring. Soon there will also be a French wine bar, tapas, brick oven pizza, and the most beautiful one-of-a-kind fashion pieces woven into the experience.

I’m incredibly honored to have my work included in this collection and to be part of something so special from the very beginning.

Excited to announce that my artwork is now represented at Studio Rambar, a beautiful new gallery in Las Catalinas located directly across the street from my home.

What makes this even more special is our vision to collaborate by hosting artists and creating art openings between the gallery and my home — building a space for connection, creativity, and community.

Good morning ☀️

Wrapping up my time in Costa Rica and looking forward to a new season of shooting underwater with some of my favorite models. It’s been an incredible six months of building my art presence here, creating, collaborating, and finding inspiration in every corner of this beautiful country.

Grateful for the people, the projects, and the momentum. Excited for what’s next beneath the surface.
