To take it further, you may no longer access your gallery through my website. If you need your gallery information you must get in touch with me. You must have the direct link itself. Also, did you know that I always had it protected on my site, but you can't "copy" or "save as" the images on my website. One important thing that I want to remind everyone, especially photographers, do not upload full resolution images on your website and Facebook. Private protected galleries only. Why? AI is most successful with full resolution photos.
Also, this is why I am a one woman show who DOES all of her own editing. I also do not use AI features on my editing. I fully do all hand editing other than my presets that I made myself for lightroom. I use to edit using Adobe Elements...it's out of date now and Adobe no longer updates it, but I still have the program. I'm so close to going back old school. SO CLOSE!
A little something I want my J. Blanch Photography families to know.
With all of the recent conversations surrounding AI, children's images, and online privacy, I know some parents may be wondering what that means for the photos they share with their photographer.
First and foremost: please know that I take your family's privacy seriously.
I will continue sharing beautiful images from your sessions because, well… your photos are a HUGE part of how I get to share my work and introduce future clients to what I do. But I also want to be intentional about how I share them.
- I do not sell your images.
- I do not use your images to train AI.
- I am thoughtful about which images of children I share publicly.
- I use appropriately sized, web-ready images rather than putting your full-resolution files online.
And something that has always been important to me:
I have always asked for permission before sharing an image publicly when a child is pictured. Even if a contract and model release have been signed giving me permission to use images for marketing, I will still continue to ask you before I post your child's image.
That isn't changing. 🫶🏻
Your signed release gives me permission to use images according to our agreement, but I believe communication and respect matter just as much. If you aren't comfortable with a particular image being shared, just tell me. There will never be any guilt or pressure from me.
I know there is a lot of scary information floating around right now, and I don't want my families to feel like they have to stop documenting their babies, their kids, their families, or their lives because of it.
Keep taking the pictures. Keep making the memories. Keep letting me document the beautiful, messy, hilarious, perfectly imperfect seasons of your life.
I'll continue doing my part to treat those memories and your trust in me with the care they deserve.
And if you ever have a question about how your images are stored, shared, or used, please ask me. I'd much rather you feel informed and comfortable than wonder. 🤟🏻
