I had the pleasure this past week to travel to Mexico to photograph Konnor and Sydney's wedding day. If you were there you knew it was at least 1 billion degrees. Give or take a few degrees. Nevertheless, everyone had a blast. It truly was one of the most love filled weddings and receptions I have ever been apart of. The love that is mingled between two families is such a beautiful thing to witness. I can not wait to see what the future holds for these two and I am so thankful that Ill be there to watch it all. So thankful for friendships like ours.

From the moment I met these two at Starbucks early last year, I could tell that this was a forever type of thing.
Maybe it’s because they remind me so much of my husband and I. Both relationship and individual wise.

Is that weird to compare? Shoot, idk. 😂

Tony is the kindest soul and so go with the flow and Kristy is a total extrovert (yass💁🏻‍♀️), so organized and I can tell when she loves you she loves you with her entire heart.
They exchanged vows, privately and to be the fly on the wall for these kind of moments I will never take for granted. Emotions are raw and I felt the love with every word.

This off season I’ve gotten to slow down and really dial in on what fuels my passion for photography. I used to want to be booked and busy, however, that quickly turned to slowing down and limiting sessions/weddings to that I can give every one my all. This weekend I officially closed my weddings for 2024 and I’m so excited to create forever photos with my couples this year!

I was lucky enough to second shoot their wedding this past fall for . The day, the colors, the weather, the guests, everything was so perfect. I couldn’t wait to dive into some of these photos during the “off season”. However…
TECHNOLOGY FAILS

So what do I mean by this?

This past fall, in the heart of busy season. My hard drive crashed with some of my backed up images. Fortunately, I always keep my “used” memory cards tucked away until weeks AFTER the gallery is delivered and also back them up to an online cloud storage. This week, I wanted to start dabbling in some images I second shot in 2023 and I was able to pull everything I wanted from them!

•So what’s my message here?•

Before you book a wedding photographer
Ask…
What is your image backup process?
Do you shoot on dual card slots? (2 memory cards just incase one corrupts!)
Do you and if you do… How long do you keep my gallery on a hard drive?
Lastly, if you are a current bride/couple, reference back to your signed contract and most information will be in there!
