Some projects are about the people. Some are about the place.

This one happened to be both.

We recently had the opportunity to provide photography, video, and aerial coverage for a campaign event just outside Kansas City, bringing together business leaders, representatives, and distinguished guests from across the region.

While the event itself was the focus, we also spent time documenting the incredible property that hosted it. Built by Scott Grant and Anchor Homes LLC, this estate offered no shortage of details worth capturing—from the craftsmanship and architecture to the spaces designed for bringing people together.

As Campbell Media continues to grow, so does our ability to tell bigger stories, cover even larger events, and deliver even more value to our clients.

To say our journey has been interesting up to this point would be an understatement😂 A lot has happened since starting our business, we’ve met celebrities, taken on some crazy projects, and went from a side-hustle on the weekends to a full time media powerhouse.

I’m sure the next 2 years will be full of more crazy stories, challenges, angry people thinking we’re spying on them😂😂😂 but it’s so worth it.

Helping people tell their stories while being able to provide for our families is WHY we do what we do, and we wouldn’t have it any other way🙌

Hey friends, I need everyone’s help again!

We have 2 projects on the books that require a unique location to film. Both should would take a maximum of 3 hours to complete. These locations can be anywhere in the Kansas City area, as far out as Sedalia!

Location 1: A large building, whether a gym, warehouse, shop, just need an indoor large open space.

Location 2: A large empty(ish) asphalt lot, can be a parking lot, behind warehouses etc.

“Y’all are flying drones NEXT to the airport?!?”

Yep. Legally. Safely. Professionally. 👀

A lot of people don’t realize that just because an airport is nearby doesn’t automatically mean drones can’t fly there. It just means you need the proper knowledge, planning, certifications, and authorizations to operate safely within FAA regulations.

This weekly project of ours sits right next door to Kansas City / Lee’s Summit Regional Airport, and operations like this are exactly why working with licensed, experienced drone pilots matters.

Before every flight, we:
• Check controlled airspace restrictions and FAA maps
• Obtain required LAANC/FAA authorization when needed
• Fly outside of normal traffic patterns whenever possible
• Monitor local air traffic frequencies on our radios
• Maintain visual awareness for incoming aircraft
• Coordinate with the control tower when warranted
• Follow all FAA regulations and local laws

And this isn’t the only environment we operate in.

We’ve legally flown near larger commercial airports, active military installations, busy city environments, and complex job sites — all while following the proper process to keep operations safe, compliant, and professional.

At the end of the day, if our clients need aerial content and there’s a safe + legal way to make it happen… we’ll make it happen. 🤝

This is why hiring an FAA-certified, insured drone team matters. There’s a huge difference between owning a drone… and understanding the airspace.

One of the perks of running a media company with a fleet of drones?

Being able to launch one into the sky and map out our own property for future development. 👀

We’ve officially started planning what will become Central Missouri’s newest media facility — designed not just for Campbell Media, but for creatives across the area as well.

The vision:
• 2 customizable podcast studios available for hourly rental
• A massive production studio capable of everything from family photos, maternity, bo***ir, and senior sessions… all the way up to vehicle shoots, music videos, and full-scale commercial productions
• Flexible creative space for other photographers, videographers, podcasters, and creators to bring their ideas to life.

This won’t just be our office.
It will be our community’s creative hub.

A place built for collaboration, production, and pushing quality to the next level in Central Missouri.

Seeing these renderings come to life after mapping the property ourselves is honestly surreal. We’re incredibly excited for what’s ahead.

Huge shoutout to the guys at The Grid Production House, true pros in the media industry based in Independence that shared a lot of insight into what has worked well in their media facility and what they would change if they started again. Their insight has been a massive help in all this and while we are putting our own touch on what we want our media facility to be and how we feel it will best serve our clients, the guys at The Grid that truly helped us get pointed in the right direction.

Ngl, at real estate shoots I code switch so hard. When agents or clients are there, we get the professional, calm, normal Austin, when the house is vacant and it’s just me? Headphone volume all the way up, I could be listening to Taylor Swift or Rick Ross, either way they way I’m singing you’d think Im auditioning for American Idol (and I promise you, definitely not making the cut🙃😅)
