Tim gave me a great thought that I never would have taken into consideration myself.
I was showing him RAWs from tonight and he said, “if you’re going to keep doing that, you may want to have clients sign a contract!” Me sitting here all, “a contract for what?” Then he continues with “if someone gets burnt, they can come after you!
Then it clicked! While it doesn’t burn long, it’s still fire and it still burns hot (I tested on myself.) It goes out once it touches anything that is not fueled, however…hair, skin, clothes, etc can all give the flame something to grab on to.
But yet, I DO PLAN TO CONTINUE!
So, from now on, when you book a session - please don’t be offended if I show up with documentation for you to sign before I even make the bubbles 🙂 it’s a more of a CYA type of thing then an “I don’t trust you” type of thing so please don’t ever think that!
With that being said - don’t be scared of it. It’s super fun and makes for super cool shots! And quite honestly, it goes out so quick you won’t even know it’s even been lit! My girl tonight literally held it in her hand then flicked after I got the picture. This is all true unless you’re my nephew and move so the flames go up into your football helmet 🤣 If you plan to do fire, let me know ahead of time so we can make sure there’s and extra person there to light the fire for us. I discovered I am way too slow to walk 10 feet and get ready before the flames go out! I thought I could light and run, but apparently I’m a sloth!
