One thing I will always admire about people willing to step in front of my camera is how they're open to trusting me with an idea... regardless of how awkward or unimpressive it may feel in the moment.❤️

It takes vulnerability to be photographed.

To slow down.
To try something different.
To let someone else tell a small piece of your story.

I’m grateful for the people in my life who allow me to create, experiment, and continue growing as an artist.

Thanks to Missa, James, Suggie, & Zelda I was able to capture these gems with the Good Ole Dodge. ❤️

Maybe the photograph was never the point...
Maybe the point was deciding your life was worth documenting before it became a milestone.

Because one day...

This ordinary Wednesday.
This drive down a back road.
This fence.
These fields.
These boots.
This sunset.

Won't feel ordinary anymore.

Some people have a way of entering a room and somehow leaving it better than they found it.

That’s her. 🤍

She carries a lightness with her - always smiling, always laughing, always finding a way to make the ordinary moments feel a little more special. She’s the person I can call when I want to go anywhere, do anything, and know that somehow we’ll end up laughing until our stomachs hurt.

She’s thoughtful. She’s caring. She’s the kind of person who makes people feel comfortable just by being herself.

But as I get older I've found myself wondering…

What is it that makes someone become your best friend?

Is it because they’re everything you’re not?
Because they fill the spaces where you feel like you’re missing something?
Because they challenge you, balance you, or bring out a version of yourself you didn’t know was there?

Or maybe it’s something much simpler.

Maybe it’s because they SEE you.

Not just the version you show the world - but the REAL you. The messy, goofy, honest, imperfect version... and through all of that they still lovingly, and respectfully CHOOSE YOU.💛✨

And maybe that’s the magic of a best friend.

Finding someone who makes you feel completely yourself while reminding you that life is meant to be enjoyed along the way.

I’m grateful for the people who make the journey lighter. 💛

Love you, Miss!

My current obsessions are pretty simple:
You could probably figure them out by looking at these images.😁

1.) Horses & hair
2.) Visual storytelling
3.) Connection & meaningful relationships
4.) Western lifestyle
5.) Sunshine ☀️

Call me insaneeee… but I’m pretty sure every single one of those things came together perfectly in these images.

My best friend, her gorgeous hair catching the breeze, her cowboy loving on her, and Rose - a horse that has been "in the picture" for a very long time (no pun intended🥰) - all while soaking in that golden Texas sunshine...
AND a LOVE STORY celebrating 6 years of marriage!💛🤗

So much to be grateful for!
These images reflect and celebrate the life they’ve built, the season they're in, the memories they’ve shared, and all "the little things" that make their story uniquely theirs to this point.

These are the moments that make my heart so happy... the ones that remind me exactly why I love what I do.

Cheers to James & Marissa!🤍🐴

Back in May, I had the sweetest conversation with Kirsten as we began planning a family session for them. From the very first phone call, I knew this family was special... but nothing could have prepared me for meeting them in person.

Kylie is the kind of person who leaves an impression you don't forget. Her strength, kindness, and quiet resilience are inspiring, and it was so evident how much her siblings look up to her. She is simply an amazing role model to her siblings. Each of the kids brought their own unique personality to the session, filling the evening with laughter, joy, and so much life.

Some sessions are about beautiful photos. Others are about preserving the moments that matter most. This one was both.💛

Thank you, Magic Hour Foundation, for allowing me to witness and document such a remarkable family. It was an honor I'll always carry with me. 📸🙏✨️

“The most meaningful photographs aren’t the ones where everyone looks perfect. They’re the ones where you can FEEL the love between the people in them.”

Sisters have a way of holding every version of us.

The little girls who laughed until they cried.
The teenagers who annoyed each other endlessly.
The women who now stand side by side through every season life brings.

What I love most about photographing sisters is capturing the in-between moment... the goofy laughs, the quiet glances, the effortless connection, and the memories that don’t need to be perfect to be meaningful.

Because years from now, it won’t just be the posed photos they remember.

It will be the laughter.
The inside jokes.
The way they made each other feel.

These are the moments worth preserving. 💛

You would have never guessed how badly I had the Texas wind and heat working against me during this session.

But with limited daylight and other photo goals to follow, I was determined.

What made this session truly special is the story behind it.

Rose, the beautiful white horse you see here, has been a part of James’ life for most of hers. He trained her, trusted her, and together they’ve shared countless seasons of life together. Rose now gets to spend her time getting loved on by Missa, James, and their family.

When Missa and I would talk on the phone, Rose always found her way into the conversation. Sometimes we’d be chatting while Missa was riding her, and I could hear just how much this mare meant to them. Not just because she’s a beautiful horse, but because she represents years of memories, trust, hard work, and a bond that can’t be recreated.

So when we started planning this session, I knew I had to meet and include Ms. Rose in these images.

We were able to create images that honored where Rose is today... And after meeting and working with her, I must say she is the sweetest most solid mare!🤍

These are the moments I love preserving most.

Not just what someone or something looks like, but the stories, relationships, and pieces of life that make these images meaningful for years to come. 🤍

Confidence isn’t something you wake up with one day.

It’s something you build every time you choose to say, "YES!"

Every time you try something new.
Every time you allow yourself to be seen without needing everything to be perfect first.

That’s what I loved about this evening in Texas.

She didn’t step in front of my camera because there was a special occasion or because she needed a reason.

She didn't get confident, and then decide to step in front of my camera.
She stepped in front of my camera and strengthened her confidence.

And she did it simply because she wanted to.
And that, to me, is powerful.

She was willing to step outside of what felt familiar, trust the process, and explore a version of herself she may not always get to see. Through the guidance, the laughter, and the little moments in between, she started discovering what felt like her.

That’s what I love about photography.

It’s not just about creating beautiful images. It’s about creating a space where you can reconnect with yourself... where you can slow down, be present, and remember the person you are beneath all the roles and responsibilities life asks you to carry.

This girl is grounded yet free-spirited. Open-minded yet observant. The kind of person who doesn’t wait for life to happen... she chooses to experience it... every little moment.

And maybe that’s the reminder we all need:
YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL YOU FEEL READY.
Sometimes the confidence comes because you chose to say YES. 💛

Still obsessed with this perfect evening and how everything unfolded. 🌸🐴✨️📸💛

There is something incredibly interesting to me watching someone pour their knowledge, passion, and time into others.

While photographing this day, I found myself noticing the little moments that often go unseen... the curiosity in everyone's eyes, the confidence building with each new experience, and the connection created between humans and animals.

These are the moments I love preserving. Story.💛

Because photographs aren't just about what happened on a certain day. They remind us of the lessons learned, the people who inspired us, and the experiences that helped shape who we become.

I’m grateful I had the opportunity to not only document this experience and showcase the impact that Devin is making through his work, but also to personally experience his teachings with my own GSP, Tobias.

With every interaction, Devin continues to remind me that there is always more to learn about our canine companions... their communication, their needs, and the incredible relationships we can build with them.

Much like our horses, our dogs have their own unique ways of connecting with us, teaching us, and reminding us to slow down, pay attention, and continue growing alongside them.

Thank you for teaching, and trusting me to capture these memories.🐴🐾
