A sow and boar doing what bears do during mating season.

I couldn’t tell if she was getting bored with him or just thinking about lunch. Meanwhile, he looked straight at me like, “Seriously? You’re still here?”

A quiet moment with one of Alaska’s sharpest hunters.

This Northern Hawk Owl sat perfectly still, just watching everything around it. Those bright yellow eyes don’t miss much. It’s always a cool feeling when you realize you’re not just watching wildlife… it’s watching you right back.

I love how calm scenes like this can be, even though there’s so much going on behind the scenes in the wild.
