Here comes the sun...

I got up early last Saturday to capture the Milky Way and decided to stay out for the sunrise at our local lake. I'm so glad I did. Foggy conditions mixed with a clear sunrise made for magical conditions to experience (and photograph). I'm grateful for moments like this and the beautiful world we get to live in.

An early morning fishing trip...

One of many bird encounters on a recent trip to Florida. The winged creature population down there is phenomenal and shooting photos of them was a fun challenge. This spot was ideal with no tree branches to obstruct the view.

From what I can tell, these are the American White Ibis. Feel free to correct me!

You're invited to take just over a minute to ponder the beauty of creation in the winter.

We had a beautiful sun dog with the extreme cold this week and it reminded me of another one I captured a couple of years ago during a similar cold snap. Seeing one in person is best, but slo-mo drone footage gives you another perspective of the details. I'm thankful I was in the right place at the right time with the right tool to capture this rare phenomenon.

Minnesota Flooding Home Cleanup Hoteline information from KKOJ Radio:

"Local organizations are asking those needing help with home cleanup during this difficult time to call the Minnesota Flooding Home Cleanup Hotline, which has been setup to help with issues relating to flooding.

Call 218-288-2213 to ask for help. The group will connect you with volunteers from local relief organizations, community groups and faith communities to may be able to help with cutting fallen trees, drywall, flooring and appliance removal, tarping roofs, and mold mitigation.

The services are free, but due to overwhelming need service is not fully guaranteed. The hotline will remain open through Friday, July 5th."
