The goal was to give Dr. Mia, a series of images that could be used for her and promotions for Mibella Wellness. The session was in my studio and included 4 outfits. Each outfit included poses that could be used to express several stories. I designed the session to cover as much as possible because Dr. Mia's schedule is always super busy, with patient appointments, surgery, speaking, family and life. I appreciate Dr. Mia for trusting my process for so many years.

I've seen Dr. Mia connect with her live audience, because of her professionalism and personality. Taking the right images helps that connection extend past the live event. Catching a genuine smile and body language is a part of photojournalism that helps images work.

I developed the 3 P's to give my work the best chance of being effective. Professionalism, Personality, Purpose.
My experience/research shows trendy/cliche content doesn't work consistently, if a product or service is being offered. I make sure Dr. Mia's images go beyond a basic headshot and don't go too far into randomness. Dr. Mia has built a wellness-centered medical business, created a recognizable brand, expanded into menopause, weight management, and sexual wellness, and combined clinical expertise with entrepreneurship. Her promotional images should be specific to the standard she has developed.

A menu picture tells people what you serve.
A restaurant story tells them why they should come.
That's why I don't just photograph the food. I photograph the people who prepare it, the atmosphere they create, and the moments that make a restaurant feel welcoming. Because long before someone orders a meal, they're deciding whether your restaurant feels like a place they want to experience.
That's the story I want my photographs to tell.
