This is one of my favorite shots from our trip to Bangkok. Chinese New Year in Chinatown — the streets were alive, the smells were incredible, and everywhere you looked there was a story. This woman running her roast duck cart in the middle of it all — completely in her element, completely unbothered. I could have stood there photographing all night

Shooting food vendors at night is such a wonderful experience. The lights, the shadows, the steam and smoke add so much interest. Balancing speed, aperture, and ISO to take a shot and capture the moment is the challenge.
