Cute lil family session from a couple months back. It was baby’s first photoshoot! We did a bunch of photos around Valeria and Mojica’s property, and then they casually mentioned that they actually have a waterfall in their backyard! (well a five minute trek down hill in a community space, bbuuuut still!!). We were getting close to wrapping our shoot, but um hello, I will never say no to a mini side quest. So of course, we needed to snap a couple of photos in front of the waterfall!

I’m not sure what I expected, but it definitely wasn’t this full fledged waterfall and swimming area. 😳 It was such a lovely surprise and some of my favorite photos from the day. I definitely felt very privileged to be allowed to document little snippets of their lives in such a lovely hidden gem.

10/10 would recommend mini side quests, they often become some of the coolest experiences!

It’s my birthday, & I’ll sit in the corner and eat cake if I want to! (lol)

I turn 31 today! 🥳 And what better way to celebrate than with cake and an indie sleaze/turned glam photoshoot?

Well actually, this was a couple weeks ago with . In reality I’m taking the day off of work and headed to the beach. But this was a fun one to work on!

We were able to get some cute little smiles from baby Amelie right after a mid-session power nap. (Never underestimate the power of a quick nap for an infant or an adult 🤷🏼‍♀️ honestly, it works wonders any stage of life lol)

When two photographer get together for a photo exchange, we get a lil creative. I wanted to capture the balmy hazy feel of the green house. So what did I use to get said affect? A plastic sandwich bag misted with the sprinkler system inside the greenhouse as a makeshift filter 😅

What can I say? I hear Tim Gun’s voice in my head say “✨Make it work designers✨.” So I got creative with the tools I had available.

Anyway, what do y’all think? Did I successfully capture the hot & humid vibe of the greenhouse?

Backyard family session! Were there tears? Yes. Were there games & giggles directly afterwards? Also yes. It’s all part of the fun with a family session.

While editing this session, I realized this is the 6th shoot I’ve had the honor of doing for this lil fam. Which got me feeling so so lucky that I’ve had the privilege of watching this little family grow & that my photography skills have had the opportunity to grow along side of them. This was my favorite session yet! Also, I got a quick peek inside their house & saw my previous pictures hanging proudly on their walls. I mean, that just makes a photographer go: 🥹🥲💖🥹🥲🥲💖🥲💖

We dodged many a quick downpour in between these cute lil engagement photos. These two cuties got engaged at Disneyland (peep the his/hers Mickey Mouse ears), further cementing that fairytales do exist! ✨🧚‍♀️✨
