NKG Photography www.nkg.photography Hello and welcome to my world. I am native to Pennsylvania. My dad always photographed the family events to have documentation of our lives.

Please enjoy my view of the world!
πŸ“Έ Photographer from Greentown, PA.
✈️ Flight attendant capturing moments worldwide.
πŸŽ“ BFA & MFA in Visual Arts.
πŸ“· Telling stories through the lens since 14. I reside in the small town of Greentown, near beautiful Lake Wallenpaupack, with my husband, Mark and our rescue dog, Lola. As artists and people, we all have life experiences and tragedies that make us who w

e are. Because of the hand I was dealt in life, I picked up my first camera at age 14, my dad’s Nikon FG 35mm film camera, the week he unexpectedly passed away. I thought I could continue that philosophy but at first nothing turned out. I had to learn the mechanics of the camera. Once I learned and became comfortable with the camera, I quickly realized that I was better able to express my thoughts and feelings through the visual arts. More importantly, I realized that my images became my verbal way of communicating with the world around me. What is photography to me? The Greek meaning of the word photography is to write with light or to paint with light. Photography, to me, is much more than a click of the shutter-release button. For me, seeing through my camera is my verbal communication … it is a truthful expression of what I see. It is a memory of a moment otherwise gone. I started photographing for a personal experience but as I have grown as a photographer that has changed. I see the need now to photograph to share my vision with others. I am an observer in life, which carries over to my photographic personality. I sit back, look and listen. It may seem as though I am not there but in reality, I am, oh so very there. I need to take in the entire scene or situation to be able to express my vision for the viewer. My personality becomes part of my photographic style. My images are simplified and detail-oriented. Because of my passion for photography, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from East Stroudsburg University and a Master of Fine Art in Visual Arts from Marywood University. In the years since completing my degrees I have continued to advance my education in this medium through attending numerous workshops. I have been fortunate enough to attend The Maine Media Workshops, Rockport, Maine; The Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, Santa Fe, New Mexico; The Palm Beach Photographic Workshops, Palm Beach, Florida and The Maine Media Workshops and College, Rockport, Maine. For the past twenty-seven years I have been employed by United Airlines as a flight attendant. This job has allowed me the opportunity to photograph all over the United States and Europe which I would otherwise never have been able to do. Photography has always been a big part of my life. As life changes for me I always remain with my cameras.
