Just poppin’ in here to bring a little midweek-cuteness to your feed 🐤

In my mind, fluffy baby animals cure all that ails, my darlings.

Wildflowers make me believe that softness and resilience can exist in the same place. 🌺

This morning, I was violently summoned from my sacred Saturday sleep by Kevin yelling, “WAKE UP. LOOK. LOOK. LOOK.” Which, under normal circumstances, would be unacceptable behavior. Especially since Wicket had already interrupted my sleep schedule and I was fully committed to becoming one with my pillow.

But then… I looked.

And there it was: the tiniest baby deer I have ever seen in my entire life. A creature so offensively cute that I immediately grabbed my camera and went into wildlife photographer mode with tears in my eyes and zero dignity left.

We found the baby walking with its mama… and then mama ran off and left the tiny potato behind. Which sent me spiraling between:

1. “PLEASE COME BACK FOR YOUR BABY”
and
2. “Please don’t because I’ve apparently spent my whole life preparing to become an abandoned woodland creature mother.”

Anyway, I was crying. The deer was existing. Kevin was yelling. It was chaos.

Here are the photos. I hope they bring you even half the amount of joy and emotional instability they brought me.

This is certainly not my usual content and it’s obviously not my content, but as soon as I watched it I felt deeply that it was a message that needs to be shared far & wide; because SO many people need to hear this.

Gosh, I know I did.

Thank you . I am so glad I happened upon your video.
