If I had just eloped in Moab or Grand Tetons I'd be impatient waiting for my wedding photos, too....especially if my dogs were involved. Priorities, right?!

While your cell phone photos are great, having professional photos to send to your family and friends back home just hits harder. Especially when they get to see the moments they missed or relive the day right alongside you.

Because here's the thing. While you're off being all married and in lurve, I'm watching what's happening around you. The little looks, the happy tears, your dog being an absolute goofball. And almost every time, those are the photos my couples end up loving the most.

Recently, I was reminded just how much these photos can mean when a bride lost a close family member, and one of the last photos he was in was taken at her wedding.

These aren't just pretty pictures. They're keepsakes. Little pieces of time you get to hold onto long after the day is over. That's a big reason why I deliver sneak peeks within 48 hours. I want you to have something to relive and share while you're still riding that just-got-married high.

But getting your sneak peeks quickly doesn't mean I'm rushing the rest of your gallery. I personally edit every single photo because, sorry, AI isn't going to recognize human emotion the way I do. It doesn't know which little detail makes a moment hit differently or when cropping in closer makes you feel the photo.

Photography captures the moment. Editing is where I bring it to life.

That's why your full gallery takes 6–8 weeks. Your photos deserve more than a quick preset and an export button.

You know you're winning as a photographer when the guy says he's actually having FUN taking photos. 😂
A + J were an entire vibe. Their fall engagement photos were full of laughter, zero shortage of teasing, and  me yelling things like “KEEP MAKING OUT” and “LICK HIS EAR.”You know, totally normal photographer behavior.

And listen, I know being in front of a camera isn't everyone's favorite thing. But I promise, your engagement session doesn't have to be an hour of awkwardly smiling at me and wondering what to do with your hands. I want you to have fun, be a little ridiculous, and actually enjoy the time you're spending together.

Throw in a lake, all the fall colors, and these two? Yeah, I'm obsessed with how these turned out.

After all the planning, all the moving pieces, and all the anticipation leading up to this day, JoAnn + John finally got to do the thing they’d been waiting for: get married. ❤️

One of my favorite parts of being a wedding + elopement photographer is that moment when it hits you that you’re actually married. You get to look at the person standing next to you and realize, this is your person. Your partner. The one you get to do life with, through all the big moments and the everyday ones, too.

After all the time spent looking forward to this day, getting to see it all sink in is pretty special.  And these two were finally right where they’d been waiting to be

May this kind of love find us all because when I tell you Madisyn and Parker are couple goals, they are couple goals!

From getting ready to their first look and all the way through the day, these two kept saying how excited they were to finally be married. To finally get to call each other husband and wife.

You could feel it in everything they did. They literally danced their way down to their portraits because apparently walking was just not enough. 

That is the kind of energy I live for!

This was a long-awaited, super emotional day, and I’m so happy I got to be a part of it. There was no pretending to be excited for the camera. They were just genuinely, completely, ridiculously happy to finally be married.

That’s what I love most about my job❤️

As a dog mom, I LOVE it when couples include their pup in their wedding day. As a Moab elopement photographer, I love it just as much but I'd argue that dog-friendly elopements are about more than getting your dog in a few photos. Here are five things I want you to think about when eloping in Moab with your pup, from a Moab elopement photographer who’s all for bringing your dog along for the adventure.

 Don’t start with the view. Not every trail is dog-friendly, and Pinterest won’t always tell you that.

Choose trails your dog can actually handle. Your dog’s abilities matter more than getting the photo.

 Pick a stay that works for your dog. “Dog-friendly” should mean more than simply allowing dogs.

Plan for water + rest. You chose to elope so you could slow down. Don’t turn the day into a race.

A gorgeous fall day, two people who are so clearly in their own little world, and one very good dog named Re*****on.

Olivia + Mason’s wedding was such a good one to be part of. Mason was Olivia’s anchor through the whole day, Re*****on got his time in front of the camera, and I got to spend a pretty awesome fall day with two people who were just so easy to be around.

As both a Moab + Wyoming elopement photographer and wedidng photographer, I've seen both sides of weddings . I think we’ve made getting married way more complicated than it needs to be.

What if getting married could be as simple as getting ready, having a first look if you want one, getting married, and then actually getting to enjoy the rest of the day?

I want you to imagine walking into your ceremony nervous because you’re about to marry your person.

Not because you’re worried about:

•family drama.
•the timeline.
•everything that still needs to get done.

Since when do favors, centerpieces, the cost of the f*cking linens, where grown adults need to sit because they can’t get along, or everyone else’s experience get to take priority over yours?

I love Moab + Grand Teton elopements because they are like putting on noise canceling earphones. They cut out a lot of the noise and let you focus on what you’re actually there to do.

Get married.

Then pop some bubbly, explore Moab or Grand Teton NP, take in the sunset and then grab some really good food. 

That doesn’t mean your Moab or Grand Teton elopement has to be bare minimum. I actually think it’s the opposite.

Eloping in Moab or Grand Teton gives you room to put your time and energy into the parts of the day you actually care about instead of filling it with things because you think you’re supposed to.

Your peace matters more to me than your napkin colors. Your sanity matters more than wedding favors. I’d much rather see you actually present for your wedding day than spend it worrying about what still needs to be done.
