Imagine waking up after your Grand Teton elopement and these previews are waiting in your inbox.

I don't think the best part is seeing how beautiful your photos turned out.

I think it's remembering that you trusted yourselves.

Choosing a Grand Teton elopement isn't always easy. Hell, choosing any elopement isn't.

Sometimes it means explaining why you skipped the big wedding which, for some reason, causes fully grown adults to throw temper tantrums.

But choosing to elope means you're choosing what feels right for the two of you instead of what everyone else expected.

I think that's pretty damn powerful.

Your wedding day shouldn't be the day you realize you spent months planning something you never actually wanted.

When you're standing beneath the Tetons, I don't want your first thought to be, "I hope everyone else is happy."

I want it to be...

"F*ck yeah. We actually did that."

You know what I don't want you doing while you're planning your elopement?

Questioning whether you're staying in the right part of town.

Trying to figure out if you need a rental car.

Or having 47 browser tabs open because somehow planning your wedding has turned into a full-time job.

That sounds miserable.

I'd much rather you spend your engagement getting excited than trying to piece together travel plans that make you want to channel your inner Chevy Chase.

One thing you'll learn about me pretty quickly is that I hate when couples are stressed, especially over things they shouldn't have to be stressing about.

The moment your Grand Teton elopement photos hit your inbox and you realize the photos are more than just memories.

Yes, you're transported back. Back to the morning you woke up knowing this was finally happening. Back to the nerves, the excitement, and the "holy s**t, we're actually doing this" moments.

They're proof you trusted yourselves. Because choosing an elopement isn't always the easiest choice.

Sometimes it means explaining why you're skipping the big wedding. Sometimes it means ignoring the opinions. Sometimes it means choosing what feels right for you instead of what everyone else expects.

And if I can be super cereal with you for a second,  I think that's pretty damn powerful.

I don't care if you have a 300-person wedding, a 20-person micro wedding, or an elopement with your dog.

What I care about is why you chose it.

I've heard from more than a *few* couples that have said they've been told, "If you elope, we'll disown you."

And I genuinely can't wrap my head around that.

Your wedding day shouldn't be something you're pressured into. It shouldn't be built around guilt, fear, or trying to keep everyone else happy.

It should be built around the two people getting married.

That's it.

If your dream day includes a packed dance floor, amazing.

If it includes saying your vows in Moab or Grand Teton with your favorite people (or just your dog), amazing.

If it looks completely different than either of those also amazing.

Because at the end of the day, I don't care what your wedding day looks like. I care that it feels like you.

I think we've spent way too long telling couples what a wedding day is supposed to look like.

Somehow, it turned into entertaining guests, sticking to a timeline, and hoping you get five minutes alone together.

I'd rather see you saying your vows with the Tetons behind you.

Or see you spend that time watching the sunrise in Moab.

Or grabbing burgers after your ceremony because that's what sounded good.

Or bringing your dog because, let's be real, they're family too.

I don't care what your wedding day looks like. I care that it feels like you.

That's why I love elopements.

Whether you're planning a Moab elopement, a Grand Teton elopement, or something completely different, they give you permission to stop asking what you're supposed to do and start asking what would make this the best day of your lives.

Planning a Moab or Grand Teton elopement should feel exciting, not like you suddenly picked up a second full-time job.

Figuring out where to stay, booking rental cars, and piecing together all the travel logistics can start to feel like... a lot.

So I decided to change that.

I've teamed up with Tara from Talula's Travel, who just so happens to be my bestie, to make the travel side of planning your elopement a little easier.

Days like this never get old.

I think one of my favorite things about being a Moab elopement photographer is getting to remind couples that there isn't a right or wrong way to spend their wedding day.

You can hike.

You can rent a Jeep.

You can bring your dog.

You can grab coffee, watch the sunrise, spend the afternoon exploring, and end the day watching the sunset.

Or you can do something completely different.

The best part? YOU get to decide.

Somewhere along the way, I think society convinced couples that their wedding day has to be spent making everyone else happy.

That it has to follow a certain timeline. That it has to look a certain way. That you have to go into debt for the wedding of your dreams.

What if, instead, it was spent making memories with the person you're actually marrying?

At the end of the day, that's what you'll remember.

Your dog has been there for the hikes, the road trips, and every adventure leading up to this one... so why wouldn't they be there on your wedding day too?

As a Moab elopement photographer, one of my favorite things is helping couples plan a day where their dog gets to be part of the adventure instead of staying behind.

That means recommending dog-friendly trails I've actually hiked, building a timeline with plenty of breaks for your pup, and sharing my favorite dog-friendly stays, restaurants, and local spots along the way. Most of them have been tested and approved by my own two adventure pups, Bodhi and Maui!

I don’t think there was a single point during Honovi and Camryn's session where I wasn’t excited to be showing them around one of my favorite locations.

Moody. Mossy. Two waterfalls. Ferns everywhere. That full PNW vibe.

It genuinely felt like we had wandered straight into Middle Earth, which made perfect sense for these two Lord of the Rings fans. But my favorite part wasn’t even the scenery.

It was watching them experience it.

The way they explored together, slowed down, and actually took everything in. You could tell they were completely content just being there together. Those are always the moments that make a session for me.

The only thing I don't love?

Having to wait an entire year for their wedding.🤪
