Rise your hand if you’re also having a hard time as a creative?
Every day I’m having convos with creatives that are either A. In a funk B. Work is slow C. Slightly excited but mostly terrified about all things AI D. Unsure what to do next or E. some strange mix of all the above.
Do you want to know how to change the world? It’s so easy.
Like art.
Like literally put that thumb to work and just like any and all art. Do you know hard and vulnerable it is to brith something out of your brain and put it on the internet? It’s terrifying.
More than ever, we need your public support as artists. Throw all your rules about what you like and don’t like out the window. Just go like art. Poems, songs, paintings, photographs, dance, anything birthed out of pure creativity. On any and all platforms.
I know our value isn’t in social media and likes are essentially meaningless but they’re also so meaningful to the vulnerable artist. Especially in these weird times. If you’re feeling REALLY wild and crazy, you can even give them a word of encouragement.
Anyway, just some random thoughts based on what I’m seeing out in the wild. Go change the world and lift some artists up.
