In honor of - A DECADE TO DIAGNOSIS
Here’s what a 10 year delay in diagnosis looked like for me. I hope that, in sharing this, my fellow endo-warriors and anyone else in chronic pain will feel seen. I hope that it will shed light on the need for more awareness, research, and education, as it demonstrates the direct impact when uninformed professionals dismiss our pain. And lastly, I hope that it will encourage others to believe us when we say we are in pain.
I don’t think endo explains everything over the course of the last decade, but my symptoms are all so commonly associated with endometriosis. Endo should have been a potential diagnosis many, many years ago.
