Another birthday girl making her way onto the feed… Miss Eleanor Jude! 🍓🎀

This sweet girl is another one of my little clients that I’ve had the absolute privilege of watching grow right before my eyes through my lens. 🥹

I’ve photographed her through so many of her little milestones, and now somehow we’re already celebrating ONE! Where does the time even go?! 😭

And apparently, Eleanor has some very strong opinions about her birthday cake. 😂🫣

Cake? Absolutely not.
Strawberries? HAND THEM OVER. 🍓😂

Babygirl was NOT interested in that sweet little cake, but put a strawberry in front of her and suddenly we had a very happy birthday girl. 😂❤️

Honestly, I love these moments because they’re her. The little expressions, the personality, the things they love (and absolutely refuse to love 😅)—those are the memories I want my families to have forever.

And getting to document those little personalities as they grow is one of my absolute favorite parts of this job.

Well… if I’m going to be stuck at home for a little while, I might as well get caught up on sharing some of the beautiful moments I’ve been lucky enough to photograph. 🤍📸

As most of you know, I’ve been down from photography recently while I recover from some unexpected health issues. I’ve been pretty much housebound under doctor’s orders, which has been really hard for me—especially during a time of year when I’m normally running from one session to the next.

But while I’m taking this time to slow down and heal, I figured there’s no better time to finally start sharing some of the sessions I haven’t gotten around to posting. 🥹

So we’re starting with Carter’s 2nd birthday session. 🎂✨

And this one is extra special to me because I’ve had the absolute honor of documenting this little guy from the very beginning.

I photographed Mom & Dad’s maternity session, then his newborn session, family moments throughout his first year, his cake smash, and now here we are celebrating TWO. 🥹

Getting to watch my little clients grow through my lens is one of the biggest reasons I love what I do. I don’t just get to photograph a moment—I get to become a tiny part of their family’s story and watch these babies turn into little people right in front of me.

And Carter has definitely done some growing. 🥲🤎

From that tiny newborn I first photographed to this sweet little two-year-old sitting in his chair with his big gold 2, I think it’s safe to say he’s pretty much mastered this whole “growing up” thing.

Thank you to Mom & Dad for continuing to trust me with these memories. It truly means more than you know.

A little personal update from me. 🤍

I’ve been dealing with some unexpected health issues recently and have spent some time in the hospital with respiratory complications. I’m home now and taking things day by day while I focus on getting my health back on track.

Because of that, you may notice that I’m a little quieter than usual. I haven’t been as active on social media, and I’m taking a pause from promotions and taking on anything beyond what I already have scheduled. I may also be a little slower than usual responding to messages and emails. Sometimes I simply don’t have the physical or mental energy to sit down and respond right away, and I’m learning to give myself permission to rest when I need to.

For my current clients, please know that **your sessions and weddings are still moving forward as scheduled.** 🤍 I am continuing to prepare for and look forward to every one of them.

And should something unexpected happen that prevents me from being there myself, I have some absolutely wonderful fellow photographers who are willing to step in and make sure you are taken care of. You are not being left without a plan.

For now, I’m choosing to slow down, take care of myself, and not take on more than I can realistically handle while my health is a little uncertain.

I’m very open with my clients because I believe you deserve to know the person behind the camera, not just the business. So, thank you for your patience, understanding, and grace while I take a little time to heal. 🤍

I’ll be back to my usual self—and behind the camera—as soon as I can. Until then, please know I’m still here, just moving a little slower.

One of the greatest privileges of this job is getting to watch families grow, and the Lowman's have trusted me to capture some of their biggest milestones. From their maternity session, to welcoming their little one, and now celebrating another year together as a family... it's been an honor to tell a small part of their story.

There are some wedding days that become memories for more than one reason. 🤍

Yesterday, I had the honor of capturing the Garcia’s beautiful wedding, and I also got to have my son, Jonathan, by my side helping me throughout the day. Watching him learn, create, and be part of what I’ve built is something I’ll never take for granted.

To the Garcias—thank you for trusting me with one of the biggest days of your lives. It was such a joy to tell your story, and I’m so excited to share a little glimpse into your day.

Some families become so much more than clients. ❤️

I’ve known this sweet girl since she was in high school, photographed her wedding, her pregnancy announcement, maternity photos, welcomed baby Ellie with newborn photos, and next up is Ellie’s first birthday cake smash next weekend!

Today, I got to photograph another milestone—her officiating her very first wedding, and it just happened to be her aunt’s.

Getting to walk through life’s biggest moments with the same people year after year is one of the greatest gifts this passion has given me. I don’t just get to capture memories—I get to watch families grow, celebrate, and write new chapters together.

Lately, you’ve probably noticed I’ve been a little quiet on social media…

The truth is, I’ve been spending more time here than on my phone—editing galleries, answering emails, and pouring my heart into every image from what has been my busiest summer season yet. 🤍

I honestly couldn’t be more grateful. Every session booked, every wedding trusted to me, every family that invited me into their story… I don’t take any of it for granted.

Some evenings, the best office isn’t inside. It’s moving my laptop out to the front porch, listening to the birds, feeling the breeze (from my fan of course), and finishing galleries surrounded by all my plants. It reminds me why I fell in love with this career in the first place.

Thank you for your patience while I’ve been a little MIA. Behind the scenes, I’ve been doing what I love most—making sure every gallery is delivered with the care and attention it deserves.

Here’s to a summer I’ll never forget, and to everyone who made it possible. I’m so incredibly blessed, and I can’t wait to share more of what I’ve been working on. 🌿📸💛
