Spent 7 hours hiking this 14-mile trail, made it back after sundown, and I would do it again in a heartbeat because this elopement was everything I have dreamt of and more :’)

some couples radiate so much happiness that it’s nearly impossible not to completely fall in love with them. jermery and macrina are that kind of couple, and being a part of their wedding day made me realize just how much i love being a photographer. i really can’t help but smile every time i look at their photos because the joy of their wedding day is simply so contagious 🥹

It’s been a while since I posted on here !! I took a break from social media to focus on life for a bit, but I’m back and wanted to let you know that I am alive and well 😚💕

Anyway, is it too late to do a 2023 recap? 🤣

2023 was such a catalytic year for me. I dove in head-first to pursue what I’ve always dreamt of pursuing, I invested in myself and tons of education, and I traveled,,, a little too much LOL. I definitely experienced my highs and I enjoyed every second of it, but I also got too comfortable with the lifestyle and started to neglect the idea that I have to be consistent in order to maintain it. It’s easy to have dreams and goals, but consistency in working toward it is where the true test comes. In full transparency, I struggled greatly when I had to continuously show up and put in the work. When I made one small mistake or missed one deadline, it felt like I already got so behind—and I easily fell upon this slippery slope where I started to lose the motivation to edit the next gallery, post that photo, or create art until it started piling up and became harder to manage. And on social media, it becomes difficult to share the not-so-glamorous side of things (hence, leading to my little hiatus).

BUT the good news is, I refuse to stay in that state!!! I know where I want to be, and I still have the drive to get there 🥹 That said, 2024 will be my year of consistency. PLSS GUYSSS hold me accountable 👉🏼👈🏼

Now here are some highlights and key takeaways from 2023:
1. I love the PNW.
2. Either I’m just really tiny, or camels are a lot bigger than I thought 🐪
3. Don’t forget to stop, look around, and fall back in love with life every now and then 🫶🏼
4. Surround yourself with like-minded people who will push you toward your goals. Passion projects are soo important ‼️
5. Don’t take too long of a break when hiking. It’s easier to keep the momentum going rather than starting that first step again. I guess this applies to a lot of things in life too 🙈
6. Silly photos with your besties will always be in season 🎄
7. Book that flight. You’ll figure the rest out later 😗
8. You can be anything you want to be in life. Even burritos.
