Check out beautiful St. Malo church located just outside Estes Park, Colorado. The backdrop of Mount Meeker never disappoints. I look forward to taking some snow covered winter shots too.

One of Quantum Drone Imaging's main service offerings is creating photogrammetric maps within the survey and construction industries. (See the last paragraph for a detailed explanation of photogrammetry.)

This is a georeferenced orthomosaic representing approximately 200 acres and was produced from 1582 individual images captured with a DJI Phantom 4 RTK drone at an altitude of 230 feet, then "sewn" together in specialized software. The red lines were Photoshopped in to give a visual representation of my client's property. It is NOT an accurate boundary.

This orthomosaic was requested by my client so they can have an accurate "Google Earth" picture of their property to begin making important land development decisions with respect to the large sand pit to the north and the water-filled basin in the center of the property. The client didn't need extreme X/Y/Z accuracy, so no ground control points (GCPs) were needed.

Photogrammetry is a technique used to create accurate three-dimensional (3D) models or measurements of physical objects and environments using photographs. The process typically begins by capturing a series of overlapping photographs of the object or scene from different viewpoints. These photographs are taken using cameras or specialized equipment such as drones or laser scanners. The images should have sufficient overlap to allow for the extraction of common features. Photogrammetry has various applications across industries, including architecture, construction, and land surveying. It provides an efficient and cost-effective way to create accurate 3D models, measure distances, volumes, and areas, and visualize objects and environments in a digital form.

One of Quantum Drone Imaging's main service offerings is creating photogrammetric maps within the survey and construction industries. (See the last paragraph for a detailed explanation of photogrammetry.)

This is a georeferenced orthomosaic representing approximately 350 acres and was produced from 2812 individual images captured with a DJI Phantom 4 RTK drone at an altitude of 320 feet, then "sewn" together in specialized software. Accuracy was very important to this client, so his crew marked 14 ground control points (GCPs) before we flew our drone to take the pictures. During the processing phase, we marked the GCPs in the necessary images to produce a sub 5cm accuracy in all 3 X, Y, and Z axes. The red lines were Photoshopped in to give a visual representation of my client's property. It is NOT an accurate boundary.

It took approximately 4 hours to acquire the images and another 5 hours to process the imagery, for an approximate total of a day's work. When I asked my client how long it would have taken his team to acquire this much data using their legacy "boots-on-the-ground" method, he told me it would take about 4 weeks to acquire the data and another week or so to process it at an approximate cost of $26,000. Let's just say that I did it for a hell of a lot less than that. :)

This shows you a real life example of the value and benefit of using drones to create very accurate georeferenced topographic and orthomosaic maps with full photogrammetric (measurements on the photo) capabilities.
