A few landscape (horizontal? Hotdog style? What are we calling them?) moments from Italy. Manifesting that we’re back here in the mountains soon. Elopements are the heart of my work. The slow pace and room for art make the blood flow differently through my veins, and I’m thankful to each and every client who takes the risk into the unknown with me. Cindy and Ariel are stuck with me as friends for life because even though we formed a friendship across the world together, we’re all just trucking through life in Texas every other day! Forever pinching myself that this is my life, my career, and my art. I’m sure I’ll continue spamming your feed from this perfect day for many many moons ahead.

*sigh* okay fine! I’ll believe in true love again. 🥰🥲🥹 Ruby reached out to me to plan a proposal for Christina. Everything (mostly) goes off without a hitch and then her brand new fiancé says “hold that thought!” Runs half a mile to the car and shows back up for a reverse uno proposal of her own. Seriously has anyone ever looked prettier on one knee in a dress?! These two are so special to me and it’s such an honor to document q***r love with no rules, no expectations, and just a ton of joy.

A true elopement in deserted off season mountain town. Pinch me. Lulu & Kyle took us to crested butte in late April with just their parents in tow and I am still not over it. The slow morning getting ready, the laughter booming through the house, playlist going in the background, and enough love to last a lifetime. We had no agenda and no time constraints. Exactly how an elopement should feel! Lulu’s dad drove us around in a mini van to various spots around the town and even took over my film camera for a while (spoiler alert: a couple of those film shots are in this post!)

As my new elopement couples are trickling in, I hope this inspires you to create a day that is uniquely yours. I’m here to help plan, glue your eyelashes on, and make sure that it’s a day you look back on with fondness and love.

Bowman boy #3, you’re in for the best ride.

Today I stopped and reflected a little on pride month. How this month hasn’t been filled with nearly enough rainbows and glitter and celebrating who we are. Why?! I asked why. & the answer is because I’ve been working, and cramming in summer activities with my kids, cooking dinner for my wife, taking my family on a Disney cruise, and now I’m sitting in the passenger seat headed to the airport to head across the world to document the most exciting elopement between two lover girls. In short? I’ve been celebrating pride as it should be celebrated. LIVING! The women and men before me fought so hard for this month to simply look like life. How grateful I am for their sacrifices. For the rest of the month I’ll be hopping around Italy with the greatest girl on earth, photographing a very special wedding, and then traveling some more. I can’t wait to share it with you all. As for pride month? It looks a lot like the other 11 months for me and that’s EXACTLY the life I want to live.
