Annalee & Jack’s wedding weekend started off at The Houstonian, where guests stayed and enjoyed a secluded resort in the middle of the city. The dinner was located just off a putting green so of course, it played into Friday night’s details.

A room full of laughter and tears that even a stranger would find themselves chuckling to the witty and heartfelt words written just for the sweetest couple.

PS. You know it’s going to be a good weekend when the bride wears a cape for Friday’s events! 😍

I want to know it all. Not just the relationships, but also about the details and design.

I want to know where the inspiration came from. What significance a detail has that runs through an entire design. That you got a bow on your dress because your grandmother hand sewed all of your childhood bows and it reminds you of her. That you chose small touches of blue because you spent Summers on the east coast and you wanted to bring in a touch of New England to your otherwise Spring palette. People are part of the story, but so are the incredibly thoughtful details that you choose to complete it.

For Caroline and Josh’s wedding at River Oaks Garden Club, Sava from Sava Events and I had a design call prior to the wedding and part of that conversation included that a big inspiration of the reception design was the desire to make it feel like they were eating at an intimate restaurant. I loved it! I drew inspiration from it and made sure to approach it in my angles and editing to make it feel like that in the photos.

I’m all about balance.

I initially fell in love with photography from a documentary perceptive. It’s true what they say - a picture is worth a thousand words. You could just feel what it was like to be there, like a fly on a wall, getting a small glimpse into a moment in time.

After I became a wedding photography, a new love emerged. The beauty and awe of fine art. It just had this amazing majestic feeling to it. I just loved the feeling it evokes and how incredibly stunning the subjects looked. Ethereal. Radiant. Extraordinary.

And that is where our approach was born from - the desire to make our clients feel (and see) just how incredibly beautiful they are (through very intentional guidance tailored to their unique traits) combined with letting the day breath to allow for those spontaneous moments.

This showstopper of a wedding at Moody Gardens in Galveston always lives rent free in my mind. A complete transformation with new carpet and blue draping felt like stepping into absolute luxury.

One of the (many) reasons I love to photograph weddings is because of the way events are designed to define a space that is unique to a couple - meant to experience a piece of who they are. The way a space can make you feel when you step into a room is like real life magic and I am here for it (because I feel it too, every time!)
