Panera Bread is back in the Houston area, and yesterday I had the joy of photographing not one, but two ribbon-cutting celebrations! 🥖✂️🎉

The morning began in Katy with the Mayor, a representative from the local precinct, the Katy High School cheerleaders, and the Tiger mascot bringing plenty of community pride and school spirit. Panera’s local charity partner, Make-A-Wish, was also in attendance, making the celebration even more meaningful.

Then it was off to Spring, where the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce joined local leaders and community members to welcome Panera back to the area. Guests were treated to an incredible performance by the Klein Collins High School Mariachi Band, and they absolutely stole the show!

The Spring celebration also included a special moment recognizing the location’s manager, who began her journey with Panera as a teenager. What a wonderful example of growth, leadership, and the opportunities that can begin with a first job.

From community partnerships and colorful balloon arches to music, laughter, and proud team moments, each location had its own personality and story to tell.

Congratulations to the Panera Bread teams in Katy and Spring. Thank you for trusting me to capture such an exciting day for your company and our Houston-area communities!

Some events are about more than a day on the golf course. They are about honoring a life, continuing a legacy, and creating opportunities for the next generation. 💙⛳
This past Friday, I had the privilege of volunteering my photography services for the Ray Gonzalez Foundation’s golf tournament, which raised funds to support student scholarships.

Ray was a dear friend of my fellow BNI colleague, Luke Kirkwood, who helped organize the tournament. It was especially meaningful to see our Northwest Referral Network chapter show up in such a big way, with several of our members and businesses stepping forward as players and sponsors.

This is what community looks like: people bringing their time, talents, relationships, and resources together for a purpose bigger than themselves.

Thank you to everyone who organized, sponsored, volunteered, played, and helped make the day possible. I’m grateful I could help preserve a small piece of Ray’s legacy through these images.

One year ago today, I took a leap of faith.

What began as one of the most unexpected moments of my career became the beginning of a dream.

This past year has been filled with growth, challenges, lessons, and so much gratitude. I've had the honor of photographing growing businesses, beautiful families, beloved pets, graduating seniors, community events, and so many meaningful moments.

If there's one thing I've learned, it's this:

A business isn't built alone. It's built one relationship, one referral, one conversation, and one story at a time.

Whether you've invited me to your event, trusted me with your portraits, referred a friend, liked a post, or simply cheered me on... thank you. You have been part of this journey, and I don't take that for granted.

I first met Kim Howell back in 2021 through a networking group, and I still remember one of her presentations so clearly.

She was talking about midlife, stress, energy, and all the ways our bodies can start asking for something different from us.

At the time, I was 41. Since I never had kids, it was easy for me to still think of myself as “young” in a certain way. But as she spoke, I realized I had been feeling some of those changes for years. Her message gave me language for what I was experiencing and helped me start having better conversations with my healthcare professionals.

It also made me think differently about how I nourish and support my body in this season of life.

Tomorrow, Kim is speaking at WOAMTEC on **The Weight of Stability: Stress, Success, & The Midlife Wake-Up Call**, and I wanted to share it with the women in my community who may need this conversation, too.
