Brides forget things. It's fine. It's funny. Until it's not — then I fix it. 😅
I once had a bride forget her something borrowed, so I gave her my eyelash glue. She looked at me like I was crazy. Joke's on her — that same glue later saved a bridesmaid's broken nail AND reattached a groomsman's loose button.
Here's what else I've somehow survived:
👗 A bustle broke mid-reception. I watched a YouTube tutorial in a bathroom stall at 9 PM.
🕺 Last wedding I shot? The groom busted a button before the ceremony.
💃 The wedding before that? A guest split his pants doing the Cha-Cha Slide.
💅 Broken nail on a bridesmaid? Eyelash glue. Works like a charm.
💋 A bridesmaid hated her lipstick shade, tried to wipe it off with water and a tissue — only to realize it was lip stain. Cue panic. I pulled out makeup remover wipes and saved her from looking like she'd lost a fight with a fruit punch.
😭 Tears? Always have tissues. Also waterproof mascara in my bag for the bride.
Moral of the story: your photographer or wedding planner is quietly carrying a sewing kit, eyelash glue, safety pins, makeup remover, and zero judgment. We problem-solve in silence so you never even know something went wrong until way after.
What's the funniest thing YOU'VE forgotten or seen go wrong on a wedding day? Make me feel better about the veil story. 😂
