Outside Looking In Intro Video (part 2)

In Frame: .aa_

Synopsis:
For this project, I wanted to speak on something that actually hits close to home and reflects an experience a lot of people like me go through. I’m Caucasian and Mexican, but growing up I never really felt like I belonged to either side. I ended up blending into different groups just to fit in, which made me feel like I didn’t have a real identity more like a chameleon than a person. Over time, it started to feel like I was performing for people instead of being accepted for who I actually was. That’s why I chose to depict the payaso, the clown as a symbol of that confusion and that pressure to entertain instead of belong.
I wanna thank & for funding this project through the "Let Creativity Happen" grant.
Special shout out to & the team at Film Lab - The Negative space for making this happen.
