Beautiful morning!

So I'm walking thru the house this morning and see my cats intently staring at something. Didn't have a clue what to expect, because I leave the back door open sometimes.
Look what the cat dragged in. It was in a corner and the cat tried to get it again as I'm telling them no and trying to keep them away and get the bird myself. The bird flew across the breakfast room and stayed put. After pushing the cats away from it (I wasn't sure if it was hurt) I cupped it into my hands and took it outside. It stayed in my hand like it wasn't going to leave. I had to push it into the flower bed so I could see if it would stay or leave and p**f it flew off.😊

Took time to stop and admire this beautiful display on the way to Granby, CO. In the 10 years I lived there I never saw a river of yellow like this. From the road all the way to the top.

Back in September I was fortunate enough to get to spend some time in RMNP near Estes, CO. I wasn't seeing anything and there were a few cars parked so I stop to see if there was anything to see. I found nothing, until this bird showed up, flying towards and around me. He landed first on the group and then flew right over my head onto this tree. I had on my 400mm and we were so close to each other I didn't think I would turn out. I am so pleased to say it did turn out and I love it. I believe this is called a Stellars Jay, but am not positive. If I'm wrong please let me know. It is a beautiful bird.
In the photo underneath I found him flying upside down. That's a first for me, capturing the bird upside down. I had to really study it to make sure.

Getting to ride at the church arena. My granddaughter was so happy out there on this boys horse plus she made a new friend. These two had a great time together.

April 8, 2024 I was right under the eclipse. I haven't photographed one of the before and while it should have been easy, it was a little bit of a challenge, using the glasses I got and not being able to see anything to having to take them off to get my camera ready to photography. I wish I had more practice, but 4 minutes of totality goes by pretty quickly. Just thought I would share anyway. It was alot of fun to do and see.
