Photography is great because a person can convey a message a story with no words and it’ll be just as, if not more, effective as a person telling a story verbally. Tony Braxton also known as “T-Roc” from the Northside of Houston first began telling stories with his camera when he was 27. He was assigned a government contracting job that led him to live in Afghanistan in the battlefield with real A
merican troops and during his experience there, he saw things that he couldn’t possibly articulate with words. Every time he’d return home to his family, he’d struggle to find the word to describe what he saw in full detail, so he bought a camera to cherish every memory. T-Rock then would return home with some images as devastating as soldiers dying in action or dead soldiers in their caskets covered by the American Flag. He also would come home with some magical moments such as soldiers hugging their families with big smiles or triumphant photos of soldiers celebrating after a victory. Whatever story T Roc wanted to tell, he did it easily with his extraordinary photography skills. T-Roc now is a well-known entertainment photographer in the Houston area. He specializes in capturing action shoots like concerts and shows, but he’s also very skilled at self-portraits and themed shoots. A Tony Roc shot will guarantee to capture the real emotion and feeling that the client wants. He calls it a “Rock Look” and a Roc Look is a real urban look. It has a complete natural feel with no polish. His go to camera is his Nikon D7200 for the photos and a Sony a7s II for the videos. Although Tony can capture anything, he kind of always knew he’d be involved with music. His dad was a D.J and he played the snare drum in bad during his childhood. It wasn’t until his early adulthood when the trouble found him. From 20-25, Tony was in and out of trouble. It wasn’t until one of his friends plugged him with a job overseas and the rest was God’s plan. T-Roc have become the No.1 go to guy on the Northside for any creative conceptual arts. He’s currently working out to Tha Enclave Recording Studios and there he’ll take care of your photo shoots, vlogs, flyers, cover arts etc etc. He also is Tha Natural personal photographer but he has captured moments with Young Jeezy, Kash Doll, Young Blu, Boston George and many more. As of now T-Roc is still perfecting his craft, but in the end when the Nawfghanistan Movement is at the forefront of the Houston music scene, T-Roc will have captured every moment from start to finish.
