This one made my heart so happy. 🥹🩰

Ella’s mama reached out after her very first recital, and we dreamed up a sweet little session to celebrate this special milestone.

I said SAY LESS. Bring that baby and her ballet shoes to me. 😂🤍

We twirled, danced, giggled and captured her little personality so perfectly… right down to her name written on the bottom of those tiny ballet shoes. 😭

Then I got the sweetest email from her mama after she opened the gallery and 🥹

THIS is why I love what I get to do. Getting to freeze these little seasons before they’re gone. 🤍

✨ Little calendar update! ✨

Y’all… I have officially stretched October to the bitter end 😂🤍 I truly don’t think I can squeeze another session in, so I’m calling October FULL!

I still have just a couple spots left in September + November, and a few more openings in December!

I’m seriously SO grateful. Every year I wonder what the next season will look like, and every year y’all continue to show up, trust me with your families, and keep this little business of mine so busy. I never take that for granted. 🥹

If family photos have been on your list for this fall, now is definitely the time to grab one of those last dates! 🤍

And THANK YOU for keeping me this busy while still allowing me to protect time with my own little family. It truly means more than you know.

Continuing from yesterday’s conversation… 🤍

First, I just have to say THANK YOU for all the love I received on yesterday’s post. The messages, encouragement, and just the amount of respect you guys showed for the boundaries I’ve chosen for my business meant more than you know. Truly, making this change four years ago has been one of the biggest blessings for me and my family.

And I know weekday sessions can be tricky!

But protecting our weekends for family time, church, and just being together is something that has become really important to me.

If I’ve learned anything over the last four years, it’s that the families who really want to work with me usually find a way to make it happen — and I’m SO grateful for that.

For my families with school-aged kiddos, a lot of my moms make it a fun afternoon! They’ll check the kids out a little early, grab a snack, get everyone ready and head to photos. I’ve also had parents take a half day from work and turn it into a little family afternoon.

And if mornings work for your family, whether your kiddos are in school or not, I LOVE a good morning session! I currently offer Tuesday + Thursday mornings, and honestly, kids are usually in the BEST moods. They’ve slept all night, had breakfast, and we’re catching them before the tiredness of the day sets in. There is just something about a fresh, happy morning kiddo that I love. 😂🤍

I’m also doing my very best to avoid booking on school holidays. Those days are precious family time too, and I really want to protect them whenever I can.

I completely understand that weekday sessions aren’t accessible for every family, and I never want to pretend that they are. But I’ve been so thankful to see how many of you have been willing to make it work year after year.

This business truly is one of the biggest blessings in my life. It allows me to do something I LOVE, serve families I absolutely adore, and still protect the time that matters most to me.

The fact that you guys continue to support me, respect those boundaries, and allow me to build my business around my family instead of my family around my business is something I will never take for granted. 🤍

A little calendar update because fall is coming in HOT 🤎

October is extremely booked, with only a couple spots left in September, a few in November, and quite a bit more availability still in December.

I’m currently talking with about 10 different families trying to find dates on my calendar, so if family photos have been on your mind, this is your sign to reach out ASAP. Fall always fills faster than I think it will!

And just a little reminder as we head into my busiest season… I photograph sessions Monday through Friday and locally to the Humble/Kingwood/Atascocita area.

I made the decision to step away from weekend sessions about four years ago, and while it felt like such a big change at the time, it was also one of the easiest decisions I’ve made for my business.

Because before anything else, I’m a mom. 🤍

One of the greatest gifts this business has given me is the ability to build my work around my family instead of building my family’s life around my work. Protecting our weekends and that special time together is incredibly important to me, especially during the busy fall season.

I’m so grateful that you guys have continued to support me, work around my weekday availability, trust me with your families, and keep this little business of mine so dang busy year after year. I truly never take it for granted.

Hi, friends! 🤍

With so many new faces around here lately, I figured it was time to introduce myself again.

I’m Deven. 🤍 Wife to my best friend 👮🏼‍♂️, mama to my two sweet girls, Piper & Poppy, and a family photographer in the Houston area who truly loves what I get to do.

This October I’ll be celebrating 10 years in business, and honestly, it still feels surreal. What started as a dream has turned into something I never could have imagined, and I’ll never stop being grateful that I get to serve so many amazing families.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me with my girls, out for a run, working on a home project, decorating a space, or searching for the best budget-friendly finds. Around here you’ll get a little bit of everything. Photography, family life, home projects, workouts/running, and all the little moments in between.

One thing that’s always been important to me is making family photos feel easy. I know getting everyone dressed, out the door, and smiling can feel overwhelming. My goal is for your session to feel relaxed, fun, and full of genuine moments you’ll actually want to remember.

As I get closer to celebrating 10 years in business, I can’t help but look back with so much gratitude. This journey has been more than I ever dreamed it could be, and it’s only possible because of all of you. Whether you’ve trusted me to photograph your family, shared my work with a friend, cheered me on from afar, or simply followed along over the years. I don’t take a single bit of it for granted. Your support has allowed me to do what I love while raising my girls, and that is something I’ll always be thankful for.

Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or you’re brand new, I’m so grateful you’re here. 🫶
