A lot of people ask me how I got started with my Santa Sessions, so I thought I’d share the story today…
I’ve always loved Christmas, and obviously I’ve always loved photography. Every year, I took my own babies to see Santa.
One year, we were visiting family in Dallas, and I took them to a photographer who specialized in Santa portraits. The moment I walked in, I fell completely in love. I remember thinking, “I want to do this.”
After our session, I asked the photographer if he would mentor me, and he said yes.
That summer, he came to Houston, we set up a backdrop in my kids’ playroom, Santa came to visit, and I learned everything I could while creating my very first Santa portfolio.
Opening Santa Sessions that year changed my business, and Santa Sessions have become the thing I look forward to most every Christmas.
Over the years, I’ve made the experience my own. I’ve developed my own editing style, added my own creative touches, and refined every little detail. But the reason I still love these sessions is exactly the same.
I love watching children meet Santa for the first time. I love seeing their excitement. I love creating beautiful portraits that families print and display in their homes, then pull out year after year as part of their Christmas traditions. Those portraits become part of their family’s story, and that means so much to me.
I’m so thankful for every family who has trusted me with these memories over the years.
And thank you to everyone who books early! Since Santa is very busy making toys for all the boys and girls on the Nice List, we have to reserve his time well in advance.
I’m excited to share that **November 14 is officially full!** 🎉
I still have a few appointments available on November 13th and just 3 sessions remaining on November 21st!!
If you’d love to create a little Christmas magic for your family this year, send me a DM if you would like one of the remaining dates!
