DETAILS IN CAPTION!! 🫧 // Now that I finally received my pieces, I can do a thorough & honest review of ☁️🤍🫧
mini vid on in houston, tx 🫧 (thoughts/review in the caption!)
PROS 🫧
1 — the studio itself is cute, and the staff are very sweet. they have a diverse array of pottery to choose from, that caters to the interests of both kids AND adults. (planters, piggy banks, jewelry boxes, etc.)
2 — there is a wider selection of glaze colors you can choose from, resulting in more intricate options you can do with your pottery
3 — bringing in food and drinks is allowed, which is great because I get so hungry while painting!
CONS 🫧
1 — inconsistent hours. while their door states that they’re open from 11 am - 9 pm from mon. - sat., they’ve closed at 7 pm on both the days I was here. I also tried picking up our pieces yesterday (aka a wednesday) at noon, but the store was closed.
2 — lengthy kiln time/process. color me mine promises that your pieces will be done in 7 days, which is already a longer wait than most places, but I didn’t get a notification until jan 24, 11 days after I finished my piece on jan 13th.
3 — pricing. there is an additional $12 ‘studio fee’ for each day you need to paint. I was here on two visits to finish my mug, which made my $21 mug become $45.
Overall, it was still a fun experience, but the pricing and studio hours are something to consider when doing this activity!
