I had planned to share this photo today with a completely different caption.
This is one of the last photos I took with āBeth Dutton,ā my Canon R6. And this is my father-in-law.
Heās in his 70s, still spry, and if you ask him, he might even join you on the dance floor. But what heāll do without being asked is show up when someone needs help.
This morning, he was up at 6 a.m. and drove over after a pipe burst. There he was, down on his hands and knees, trying to help. š„¹
For just a split second, it hit me that I couldnāt call my own dad. š„ŗ
But there was my suegro, stepping in without hesitation.
I will always be grateful for him.
My point? Take the pictures. Be in the pictures. Capture the candids. Donāt wait for perfect poses or special occasions.
Life is the special occasion.
