I had planned to share this photo today with a completely different caption.

This is one of the last photos I took with ā€œBeth Dutton,ā€ my Canon R6. And this is my father-in-law.

Heā€™s in his 70s, still spry, and if you ask him, he might even join you on the dance floor. But what heā€™ll do without being asked is show up when someone needs help.

This morning, he was up at 6 a.m. and drove over after a pipe burst. There he was, down on his hands and knees, trying to help. šŸ„¹

For just a split second, it hit me that I couldnā€™t call my own dad. šŸ„ŗ

But there was my suegro, stepping in without hesitation.

I will always be grateful for him.

My point? Take the pictures. Be in the pictures. Capture the candids. Donā€™t wait for perfect poses or special occasions.

Life is the special occasion.
