I almost didn’t make it to this shoot. The anxiety and depression from Graves Disease and menopause had me stuck. I didn’t even want to get out of bed. But a phone call with my best friend gave me the push I needed to get outside, take a walk, and show up for what turned out to be one of the most joy-filled sessions I’ve done in a long time.
Robert and Rayla Hearne celebrated 50 years of marriage, and I had the absolute honor of capturing it. From their original 1957 Chevrolet 210 to the house Robert grew up in (and still lives in!), every moment was filled with love, legacy, and stories that matter.
This shoot reminded me how healing photography can be—not just for my clients, but for me too.
