Been awhile? Maybe you’re new here? I don’t know
For those of you who don’t know me, my name’s Christine aka ‘ Tinicreeper’ Most people who interact with this page are probably unaware of how tinicreeper started or what exactly it is; so let me explain. Tinicreeper is a brand I created while studying Photography for my BFA - at SVA around 2013 - as an encompassing name for the many projects I had in progress at the time. I strived to create a name that would somehow reflect the many different selves; that encompass who I am while also maintaining a distinct style regardless of the medium.
I went on to shoot school portraits after college and soon moved on to shooting competitive dance photography along the east coast. Though I wasn’t involved with any form of dance yet I had always loved it and was familiar with it through my sister’s own dance career in her childhood years.
As life happens I was unable to continue working as a photographer and had to switch career paths due to an injury right before COVID hit. Now Tinicreeper is better known as a sort of stage name that reflects my Aerial Performance/Fitness work. It also serves as a name that makes it easy for students and other peers within the aerial community to hear something and say “oh that’s Christine” - funny how life works
Though it has been sometime since I was last able to use my camera, I suppose that at one point it was bound that these two parts of myself would inevitably collide. We’re back at it and I’m so excited to bring the intensity from my aerial work into my visual work. Here we go.
