When I’ve been asked if my wedding photography styled is documentary or posed, I say BOTH!! 🤭
Here’s a fact: 👇🏼
I have found over the years of shooting weddings that most couples want direction!
Direction can still look authentic & be candid!
Let me explain…👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
When I give direction, I give my couples an idea to run with. 🏃🏼♀️📸
For example when I say “join hands in the middle and skip towards me while looking at each other ” or “pick your girl up like a baby and spin her around,” I’m giving my couples an idea to make their own!
The genuine laughter that comes from “kiss attacks” or smiles that come from being spun in a circle while the wedding dress blows in the wind, are all unique to each bride and groom.
As a wedding photographer, a huge part of my job is knowing when to take charge & give direction and knowing when to let my couples enjoy the moment.🤍
Throughout your day, I help set up the moments. For example, I help in the moments leading up to the first look or helping guide on how to cut the cake. But then I step back and let you ENJOY your moment.
I am there to help YOU feel confident in front of the camera by guiding you through a series of poses and prompts. If you need more guidance like “where do I put my hands” or “how do I hold the bouquet,” I got you!!
It’s all a fine balance 🤍
