I can’t believe I forgot to share these!
I had the absolute honor of photographing a proposal this summer, and to say I was nervous was an understatement, lol!
The plan was for me to show up at the sunflower field, pretend I was just there taking pictures of flowers, and casually ask this family if I could take a few photos of them. Then, BAM! He gets down on one knee and pops the question.
Let me tell you, my mind was racing with all the what ifs. What if she said, “Nah, we’re good,” and suddenly I had to awkwardly convince her why she really needed me to take their pictures?!
Thankfully, it all worked out exactly how it was supposed to. She said yes to having her photos taken, and, even more importantly, she said YES to him!
Getting to be part of such a special, once-in-a-lifetime moment is something I’ll never take for granted. Being trusted to capture a memory that these two will get to look back on for the rest of their lives is such a gift, and I’m so incredibly happy for them both!
