Just a reminder, shooting or filming on railroad tracks is illegal and can be unsafe. It's private property, including land to each side of the track and is an uneven surface with the large ballast (rocks) ties and rails, so trying to get out of the way is more complicated than people may think, particularly with props.
Lately I have seen video content made on a regular basis on moving trains that were illegally boarded. That is terribly unsafe and again, illegal. No video is worth anyone getting hurt or killed. Railroads are more likely to prosecute for film shoots the more that people do it illegally, because they don't want to inspire more of it. And with cell phones and action cameras, everyone is filming something these days, trying to get monetized content.
It is possible to find short line railroads or closed /out of service track that may be permitted, but "guerilla" filming should be avoided where safety is at stake.
